I'm posting up here at the top of the page, so that it will be more easily seen.

Muffin, thanks for sharing your picture. You're another beautiful young lady with lots of good things out there ahead of you. Your picture reminds me of my niece. She's quite a bit older than you, but her face and hair were similar when she was 16.

Amy, life dealt both of you a huge blow when your husband died. It's hard enough to be a parent with a mate, but so much harder as a single parent. Obviously you've done a good job, have responded to your daughter's growing up sensibly and with good judgment, and now you're enjoying some of the rewards.

Luvnaturism, thanks so much for your kind and understanding comments. We have had our difficult moments, but God is so faithful and I have a wonderful daughter! I think I am hooked on this site - I posted early this morning and then had to check back at noon

shoes quietly falling

January 10 2004, 7:02 AM

I'm finding I'm having to check back more often.

I had to excuse my self for a few months and allow the team of experts here watch the board for me. I had some personal issues that kept me too busy.

Fortunately, these people who have been with me since the beginning of the board has done a great job of not only watching it, but now have brought in more people.

So much more that I had to get back on again and keep up with it! I was missing out on some great stuff here!

It's like a pastor taking a two week vacation only to find the members doubled and the church doing just fine without him, thank you so much!

But seriously, I am finding myself having to jump in more often now and it's really great to see it grow like this.

Admitidly, I was rather concerned when I first started this board. I have seen so many get out of control and the owner abandon the board or allow people to come in and bash the group. I have not had this problem and feel really blessed. I was waiting the first year up for the other shoe to drop, and found out nobody was wearing any! Or if they were, they quietly laid them aside along with their other clothing and joined us.

Thank you for listening to your children, and being there for them.

Boyd

no shoes to drop

I'm finding myself in the position of muffins mom. I'm hooked. Boyd, I think your finding out because you've been faithful in the small things God is blessing in the larger picture.
I feel the people here spend some time praying about their answers and about the other people they have learned to love here.
James in the bible tells us to pray for wisdom. In 1 Cor 2:6-10 paul says that God has a secret wisdom for those who are maturing in His grace and Peter in 1Peter says that will help us grow exponentially as we continue to pray for wisdom.
