It seems as if I have been posting here alot lately, but I wanted to share this. As you know I have twins (Corrine and Jared) who are 5+. They both attend (different classes) a local Christian school. After the Christmas break Jared's class began working on a "story board" (where the teacher asks questions, the kids respond and she writes it on a story board and then reads it to the class). Since they got back they have been working on a story about spending a night at a friend's house. They have been working through the details/arrangements. Yesterday's topic was "packing" for the overnight and contributing what they should pack (toothbrush, comb, pillow, etc). Finally the teacher asked what they should pack for when they go to bed. Jared was called on and said "you don't have to pack anything". She re-worded the question (and then suggested: nightgown, pajamas...) Jared said "no, you don't need these things. I don't wear anything to bed."
I guess there was alot of laughter about this and she proceeded with the lesson. Jared's teacher saw me after school and related the incident to me. I told her in our family he was right. The children choose whether they want to wear anything to bed or not" and then added "but we've not discussed what they would
need to do when they are visiting with someone." She just reponded, "oh". His father and I spoke with him last night and explained about when you visit in someone else's house that you would wear something to bed. He responded, "oh, I didn't know that. I think I'll sleep at home."
