Sunday

Has been getting a little milder here and seeing a few more folk on the beaches. I found it interesting to read TJ’s mom’s questions and the responses. I did not know about ten year old girls and the topless issue here in Florida. This may explain why I have seen a few more young girls topless recently than in the past. I hope more parents will feel comfortable. I hope Jane and her friends get to do what they want this summer at the beach and at the pool.

I get up early in the morning. I live in a complex with many units. None more than three stories high. My building is adults only <which is defined as 21 and above>. I live on the top floor and there are six units that share a common foyer. Right now five of the units are women <two husbands have passed away since I moved here> and then there is me. We share a common newspaper recycling closet down the hall. On Sunday at six in the morning I took my newspapers down to the recycling closet and was met by one of the stewardess who shares a unit with two others <I can’t remember the new word they use > who was also recycling. She was a little surprised to see anyone up at the time, especially since she was wearing only boy shorts <underwear for women that looks like a boy’s shorts>. Once she knew I was there she said I wasn’t expecting to see anyone – you probably don’t mind since I’ve seen pictures of your cyber great grand kids <she was the one who helped me open my first attachments – pictures of my cyber great grand kids>. I said of course not. She smiled and then asked if I had a certain phone number that she needed, I did and she came to my apt, I gave her the number and she was on her way. I must say the boy shorts have a cute look on women <better than on boys>

I read my paper, had breakfast, got cleaned-up and went to church. Got my best coupon meal and returned to my apartment. Inspired by my morning walk to the recycling closet I took off all my clothes and then I put on an old long sleeve shirt with long tails, rolled up the sleeves and buttoned the two bottom buttons. Placed a blanket over my balcony rail and sat in my chaise. It was about 80 and the sun felt good, as I warmed I unbuttoned the bottom two buttons and opened the shirt. Soon I dozed off and woke about 20 minutes later. I was actually <well almost> nude outside and I feel to sleep. In almost 80 years this was the first time I can remember being fully exposed to the sun <nude swimming at the Y , yes). It was just something I wanted to experience – sorry I waited so long, but I did do it. Thanks to the many kind supporters here and your sharing your experiences as well. Somehow I just wanted to share this with all of you. I know it was long – sorry. NF

Early morning Sunday Best?

March 22 2004, 3:42 PM

That is great! Glad to hear you stepping out more.

But I didn't quite understand the paper recycling part. Were you nude then? Or you just happened to see someone less dressed than usual?

Clarification

March 22 2004, 4:30 PM

I was dressed <walking shorts and a golf shirt>; she was less dressed than usual wearing only boy shorts. Sorry if I confused you...believe me I was "confused" a bot myself for a few seconds, but think it went well.

Sunday Was Great

March 22 2004, 5:54 PM

Dear Nearing Fourscore,

I certainly read with much interest your recent posting entitled "Sunday" and found it just wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. My step father gave me a gift certificate to VS (Victoria's Secret) for Christmas and that is when I discovered boy shorts. I really like them - glad you thought they looked better on females then on males. I liked them so much I pruchased a few pairs for Shelly. Shelly and her mom and me and my mom and Scott will be on a naturist vacation for a few day in April. The boy shorts will be just great for lounging around the house - of course they will come off outside, at the pool and at the beach. Glad you had a good first experience and I hope you will have many more - enjoy each day it is indeed a gift. {{{Nearing Fourscore}}} love, Holly - your cyber great grand daughter.

A good Sunday

March 23 2004, 7:02 AM

That sounded like an absolutely wonderful Sunday.

Last year was the first time that I felt the sun on my entire body, and while I was ahead of you a few years(at 33), it felt WAAAY too long in coming. That's why I think the 'kids' here are so lucky: to find that freedom so early, especially with understanding and supportive parents and friends(no having to sneek around and hide), must be a great feeling.

Congratulations!!

It was great to hear about your very understanding neighbor, too. Sounds like the way may be paved for some greater freedom in your hallways.

Oh, by the way: "flight attendant"

God Bless You

Brunch

March 24 2004, 9:26 PM

Well the flight attendants (thanks for giving me the word - I wrote it down, now I have to remember where I put the paper) invited me to brunch next Tuesday. All three should be home. Guess I have to go and be social!

You're getting there

March 29 2004, 2:50 PM

Good for you. Sounds like a great day all around.

Just keep going in the direction you're going. One of these days you'll try it at the beach and find that no one cares, but it feels wonderful to you.

I'm a little more than a decade behind you, but my mind is made up: for as many years as God gives me health I'm going to keep on having new experiences.

Yes, I do drive my wife a little nuts sometimes as I drag her along, but we end up having wonderful times because we have all these new experiences. We were in Australia a while back, and found that it is possible to climb to the top of the framework of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We were both a little scared starting out, but it turned out to be the absolute high point of the trip for us.

So keep taking those little steps into naturism until you're ready to get yourself to a beach where nudity is accepted, and then go for it. It will help keep you young.

One thing more: you're ahead of me in some ways. At least you knew what "boy shorts" are. I hadn't known there was women's underwear of that nature until I read your post.

Maybe a little closer...

March 30 2004, 1:29 PM

Today was my brunch with the three airline flight attendants who have an apartment on the same floor as me. One attendant was called to the air, so there were only two and me for brunch. The one who answered the door was the one who I encountered while recycling newspapers early one Sunday morning, Today she had on the boyshorts <note to Luvnaturism - guess I read too many flyers that come in the mail> plus a camisole <?> top. It is about 80 today and the other attendant <an attractive, petite body but tall Asian> was sunning herself <I think nude as she seemed to slip on her shorts after the door opened> on the balcony. She walked in topless and warm asking if it were okay with me if she didn’t get dressed further. Getting to the bottom line – they are “naturists” <I guess> and thought because of the pictures that one of them helped me “open” on the internet of my cyber great grandchildren that I was a “naturist” and perhaps I could escort them to a clothing optional beach sometime. I explained the situation and that while I was open to this and even sunbathed nude on my balcony < I didn’t mention that it was only within the last 10 days that I have been doing this> that I have never “gone public”. They thought perhaps someday we should all go together. Had an enjoyable brunch and good conversation --- who knows maybe someday the four of us will go to a clothing optional beach together. NF

Go for it...

Dear Cyber Great Grandfather...
I'd say "go for it" - enjoy a day at a CO beach with the three flight attendants. I'll be trying out my new boyshorts from Holly next week as we leave for a few days of vacation - think I'll like them. Let us know what happens next. {{{Nearing Fourscore}}} love, Shelly

OK, you guys...

March 30 2004, 4:33 PM

...you made me do it.

There's been so much talk about boyshorts that I finally decided I should know what they are (I hadn't even heard of them until people here started talking about them).

This is the first time in my life that I've ever searched the internet for women's underwear. But you're all correct: they're cute.

Wow!

March 30 2004, 4:24 PM

. . . and Wow! again.

There are so many good things here. You're moving out to new areas, still growing in your own life at 80. You're obviously communicating across generations in a way that lots of people can't. You're making new friends. And you have a wonderful opportunity to go to a beach and try it out accompanied by friends.

It doesn't get much better than that, and not anywhere near that good for so many people.

I don't know whether this is a good idea or not, but it's something you might consider. You can just confess to them that you've never been nude socially, and find out if they would be willing to try it together at either apartment. Or you could return the hospitality by inviting them to lunch or coffee or something, and ask if they would mind if you didn't bother to dress.

Anyway, you should do what seems right to you. But I'm so happy for you.

Absolutely

March 30 2004, 7:57 PM

Dear Cyber Great Grandfather - you absolutely have to take these flight attendants up on their offer!!! I do think they are looking for some masculine "protection" in an uncertain enviroment. You must make them feel very comfortable and safe - this is important to a woman. My mom took me to clothing optional (CO) resorts for as long as I can remember so it it hard of think of going to the beach and wearing anything. For me and my mom it is a way of life and very enjoyable. I hope you will try it sometime - just work on that overall tan on your balcony first and please let us know how it goes. {{{Cyber Great Grandfather}}} lots of love, Holly - another boyshort fan

Hey Cyber Great Grand Father - way to go! I sure hope you and the flight attendents can get together. It sounds like it would be really a neat time. I am so glad you didn't say no. So your third cyber grandchild thinks you should go. I think we have you outnumbered and yet I want to be respectful of you, but I really hope you can go. I can just see the four of you By the way I agree that boyshorts on girls are cute. My hair is getting dark so glad that it is getting warmer and I can spend more time in the sun. Hope all can see I am using more "." in my writing. {{{{Cyber Grandfather}}}} luv, Jen

To hear from my three cyber great grandkids all at once was just wonderful...I guess you do have me outnumbered on this one. I am seriously thinking about doing something with the flight attendants. Have enjoyed the nude sunbathing on my balcony the last two weeks. Maybe I need to try a CO beach out and then decide...Guess you will all be on spring break soon, please enjoy the time. Enjoy those boyshorts. I loved hearing from you and it is so great to have someone to write you and to hear from. {{{all my cyber grandkids}}} NF

Hey Miss Jen

Yes, I at least noticed a change in you writing, but I have to admit I enjoyed the "all-in-one-breath" style you had.

It's good to hear from you again. Don't leave us unsupervised for so long, there's no telling what we might do.

Dear Mr. Kevin - thanks for such a nice e-mail. I'm back to Nude Teen as my internet name, just thought I'd try naked teen when I e-mailed naked spirit. I like nude teen for my internet name, but I still like to use the word naked. As to those periods they do get in the way. It is hard for me to stop and take a breath when I'm talking and when I writing. All those periods are like traffic lights - I don't need them when there is no one else on the road, but I have to learn to use them for school. Scott agrees that I don't need them when I e-mail him - he just likes to hear me {{{Mr. Kevin}}} luv, Jen

Miss Jen,
Thanks for a great post, I laughed as I read. I know exactly what you mean about not stopping to take a breath when talking- I watched my step-daughter, when not much older than you, do just that. Very excited she ran in and began to talk, FAST, and kept on going. She wound(sp?) down like a clock, and finally stopped, then took a big breath. She said she needed to get it all out before she forgot!

I really like how you said periods are like traffic lights. I hadn't thought about that before.

And hey, I like to hear you, too.

{{{ Jen }}}luv ya back

"Say, Pop"

March 30 2004, 6:17 PM

Dear Nearing Fourscore,

First, I'm younger than Lunaturism. I'll be 59 in May. Given that fact and that I was the first to claim 'Cyber Grandkids', 'Pop' is a sign of respect. By the way, did you serve in WWII? You are 'young enough' to be of my generation's heroes and helped us to grow. Thanks.

As Ruth's Uncle told her, you may have been put there for one reason. Since these Flight Attendants are sharing an apartment, they probably will be around for a good while. 'Keep an ear to the ground', so to speak. They may not have the slightest inkling of true Christianity. It's obvious that you and they already have a wonderful relation, which should continue to grow. As I told Jen, you may be the only example of Christ in Action that they know. You may have opportunities to share Christ with them.

Just think. One day, these Young Ladies may in turn share that Grace with someone we will never meet in this lifetime. There is an old saying that goes sorta' like this:: 'the Gospel of Christ stopped for you on its way to someone else'.

Your Cyber-Son,

Say Pop

March 31 2004, 4:31 PM

KuzeN - yes, I got in near the end of WWII and was a medic in the Philippines. I do believe that we are all here for multiple purposes and will certainly keep my ear to the ground <actually not quite as easy as it sounds when you are almost 80>. I am thinking about what I can do with the flight attendants. When they invited me to brunch - to say the least I was quite surprised - and offered to bring sparkling cider as I didn't want to get involved with any alcoholic beverages. If I do anything it will be "in public". Appreciate your word of kindness and counsel. NF

""HERO!!!""

March 31 2004, 7:06 PM

Dear NF,

The 'Keep Your Ear to the Ground' was figurative, not literal. The Young Ladies will certainly benefit from your presence. Go with them.

To my Cyber Grand Kids, a Medic in the Philippines means nothing to you. This man is a true HERO. Some of the most vicious and deadly fighting and dying during World War II took place in the Philippines.

During WWII, U. S. Army Medics, and U. S. Naval Hospital Corpsmen serving in Naval Units on land and/or on shipboard or attached to the U. S. Marines paid in blood, their own. For example, on Iwo Jima, there were 28 Congressional Medals of Honor were awarded. Four were to Naval Hospital Corpsmen, three of which were posthumous. Two Naval Doctors were killed and 857 Corpsmen were killed or wounded. None were listed as 'missing'. The 'missing' were dead.

Almost all were Conscious Objectors - men who would not willingly take another's life. A very, very few were 'gunslingers' who went armed, shot first, and killed to defend their wounded.

The number of young people alive today your ages whose Grandfathers' and Great-Grandfathers' lives were saved by Medics and Corpsmen can't be accurately calculated. Some of your friends may be alive because of men like 'NF'. When you meet someone of NF's age, say, 'Thank you.' It's a big payoff for them. They are passing away at the rate of 1,500 per day. Remember, without them, you would not have the opportunity to be Nudists/Naturists.

Pop, where did you serve? Were you in on any of the raids to liberate Prison Camps? Did you ever meet the C. O. Medic who received a Congressional Medal of Honor because he kept going back, at least twenty plus times, for his wounded in the face of overwhelming Japanese fire? Kids, the particular Medic to whom I refer, was a prime example. He, and I suspect NF also, did use his body as a human shield. The only armor these men had was their shirts.

NF, you may not be aware that Ralph of VA was an Army C. O. Medic in Viet Nam. So, there are least two of you on the Board.

KuzeN
