"openly" the other nude church

There might be better topics which I could bring up
on Easter weekend, but I thought you should know.

There are two extreme types of Christians,
one is the sexnegative Christian, the other
is the sexpositive Christian.

I can best describe them this way;

An erotic bookstore opens up next door to
a church, if the church is sexnegative, the
members go out and try to shut it down;
if it is a sexpositive church, the church
members could not care less.

If there are hookers selling themselves
outside the church doors, the sexnegative
christians have them and their customers
arrested, while the sexpositive churchgoers
ask them to get a place of business and invite
them into Church to hear about Jesus.

If children of the sexnegative Christians
see Janet Jackson's nude breast on television,
the sexnegative Christians raise Hell about
it; while the sexpositive Christians yawn,
and buy their children condoms.

I fall into the latter category,
the sexpositive Christian.

I am totally opposed to censorship.
I do not care if people walk down the street
nude and stop and have sex on the sidewalk.
As long as they do not leave used condoms on
my lawn I would just ignore them and go about
my daily business. If my kids asked me what
they were doing, I would explain it to them.
That is if my kids did not already know,
which they would.

I am proud to be a sexpositive Christian.
I feel that people who get hysterical over sex
are a threat to everyone's freedom and liberty.
However I have recently discovered another type
of sexpositive Christian, one which makes me look
like the virgin Mary.

These other sexpositive Christians are radicals
even by my down to earth standards. They not only
take a relaxed view towards sex, they engage in
it, in their churches, during the services. In fact,
they seem to be offering their lovemaking, up to
God as some sort of testament to their faith.

I feel that such a practice is "strangefire".

Personally I do not care who has sex with whom,
or with what, or how, or when. However I see
this in the same light as I would view Christian
athletes playing football during church.

God does not want or care about your football,
and he does not want or care about your sex acts.
So save your orgies for when you get home.

What God desires is your faith and devotion.
He does not want your strange fire.

I would not go to a church to get nude.
However if I was already in a naturist camp
and there was a church, I would not stop to
put on clothing before attending services.

Ok, now that I have explained things the point
I want to make, which I think you should be aware
of is that the other church, the "sex" church,
also conducts services in the nude, and from
what I have learned from studying their chat rooms,
is that their nude services often end in sex orgies,
"before the lord".

So you may want to keep this information in mind
so that in the future you will be able to explain
to anyone who might ask, how your nude church,
differs from the other nude church.

Here is a link to one of their web sites :

{ Contains some truthful bibical information.
Still I feel they are way off target when they
start having sex in church. }

Here is another one:

{ Christians should guard themselves against strange
fire. Perhaps however they do not always know what
it is ? }

appreciative.

I think I might fall into another category. I would say I am a sex appreciative Christian. I value the gift of sex that God gave and therefore, do not abuse it nor do I think anyone else should. If a adult book store opened next to our church, or prostitutes were working “our corner,” I would not be happy. I would try to get the bookstore closed. Why? The adult bookstore does not promote a healthy attitude toward sex, but an exploitive, un realistic one. Women are objects to these types of people and sex is a never fulfilling addictive drug that always needs new highs. That is not the gift God gave us!

The prostitutes I would not shew away, but I would invite them in. I would stand with them and tell them how they do not need to be in this type of bondage, but the Jesus dies t set them free from it. Theses ladies do not do this because they like it, they are slaves! Again, this is a perversion of a very beautiful gift.

If my kids saw people having sex in the open, it would depend on the situation, but I think I would tell them that the people were enjoying God’s gift in a, possibly, inappropriate place.

Having sex in church is another matter. These people have taken this precious gift and turned into something else again. Orgies are not worshipful, but offensive to God. Sex is not a recreation sport, nor is it something to be taken lightly. I do thank God sometimes when my wife and I have sex, but in no way would I think God would enjoy us having sex for everyone to watch or join in with us. Nudity does not equal sex. It seems that there may be a misunderstanding as to what Christian nudists are all about.

Re: "e;openly"e; the other nude church

I found Liberty Maxer's comments very thought provoking. I don’t think that I fall into either category. I believe that the human body and its functions cannot be in any way indecent- only our actions. The genitals and erections are part of God’s creation. People should be free to go around nude. A man and woman having intercourse is neither indecent nor pornographic- depending on their relationship, it may be immoral. I believe that ideally sexual intercourse should be confined to marriage, but it is not for me to condemn those who behave differently- only God can be the final judge. As Christians we must speak out against pornography, which debases the human being. Whilst we can sympathise with the plight of prostitutes, we should not encourage them- Christ said to the prostitute “You sins are forgiven- go sin no more”. Yes, “love the sinner- hate the sin” but we must not fall into the trap of condoning the sin

Excuse me, but...

April 10 2004, 3:25 PM

...God does care about our sexual acts. The Bible goes on and on about it. Sexual sin is spoken of as differant than all other sin because it defiles God's House- our body.

While you are quite at liberty to have your own opinions, I strongly disagree with many, if not all of them that you have stated here. Just a little to much "free-will" for me.

Jesus' sacrifice freed us, but that does not give us the right to sin, which by the way includes not speaking out about several of the things you mention. There are sins of ommission, just as there are of commission.

The Ten Commandments

April 10 2004, 5:15 PM

I must says that as a Female Christian Nudist, the Ten Commandments sets me far away from being neither positive or negative. In fact, sex is far from nudity. Sex is a private act that belongs between two married people. In revelation Chapter 2, one must choose if they are hot or cold, not positive or negative!

Thank you all.

Thank you all for your thoughts.
I disagree with some of what you had
to say, but that is ok, I never agree
100% with anybody.

Like I said, I never care what anyone does
as long as they do it off my property.

Still I feel compelled to give those
"swinging" Christians a gentle push
in the right direction, and your comments
will help me do that.

I do not care what they do at home,
but I am concerned that their strange fire
offerings are going to lead them into hell.

Problem is, there are a lot of other people
on the planet offering up strange fire which
does not have anything to do with sex.

The difficult question is;
Where is the line drawn ?

I was really hoping Boyd would
give his opinion.

The line once was drawn at rock music,
now we have rock worship music.

Some musicians like Michael W. Smith
claim to be Christian Entertainers,
not Christian Ministers.

Paul addressed some of these in Corinthians

April 11 2004, 10:22 AM

Paul talked about some of the Corinthians having sex with the temple prostitutes, not good.

Anywhere in the Bible where sex acts are described, they're done in private or the couple cover themselves from others.

Open nudity is fine, but nudity is not equal to sex.

A sex parlar next door to a church building wouldn't be appropriate in most neighborhoods. Maybe in the central city, this might happen.

Well I am sure the people you shoot

follow it up by having sex.
