The kids got out of school this past week. Saturday was the day set for the young girls to go to the local beach as a group. There would be Jane and her friend (who is a cousin to Tarzy’s friend), the young girl from our complex and three others. 5 of the 6 are 9 year olds and one just turned 10. I went and drove; Tarzy and his friend (whom we shall call Lisa – by the way Tarzy has been going to her youth group, attending Sunday School and church with her and he has been reading his Bible), the mother of Jane’s friend, her son (twin to the girl). Eleven in all. Saturday was a hot day, but the best day since it was the only Saturday that they could all get together with their busy summer social schedules. We set up camp in a quieter area of the beach. Soon tops were flying off – some quicker than others, but all within minutes. Some were completely tanned and some not. We made sure everyone had enough sunscreen on. Tarzy (who was wearing a speedo at Lisa’s suggestion) and Lisa laid face down on a blanket while the two moms kept vigil. Lisa unfastened her bikini top strap (no tan lines). After awhile the girls returned saying they were ready to go into the water and asked Tarzy and Lisa if they wanted to join them – they both jumped up and were ready to join the 6 girls when Lisa realized that she was top free. She was a little embarrassed and ran over to her aunt. He aunt looked at me and asked, does she have to put her top on? We both agreed she could leave it off and to let us know if anyone said anything. She gave us both a kiss, turned took Tarzy’s hand and they were off with the others. I thought of Bearone and her daughter and her daughter’s friend who were even more advanced in development at age 9 than Lisa. No one said anything. It was great to see all of the kids having such a wonderful time – all seemed so comfortable and so natural within a few minutes. I know they would all like to do it again – especially Tarzy and Jane (and their mom). TJ’s Mom
TJ's Mom - you are doing a great job with those two kids of yours! It was wonderful to hear about your beach excursion. I like the energy of the 9 year olds - enjoying "their freedom". Also liked the way you and the other mom handled Lisa - no embarrassment and she was comfortable. If I know 13 y/o boys then I suspect Tarzy didn't mind! The day just seemed to natural - I know it was alot of effort, but am so glad that you and the other mom were willing to make all the arrangements as well as the follow through. I doubt if any of the girls will forget the day - glad no one said anything negative - kids needs to be kids. love, Sherri
Sherri - thanks for the response. As you know it is hard as a single parent; sometime the energy is just not there, but it is well worth while as was this past Saturday, somehow this 9 year old 10 year rule in Fla is important to these girls. It was a delight to be with them (only I did get a little bit jealous). Tarzy has seen Lisa top free over at her aunt's but I do think seeing her at the beach and actually being with her top free was more exciting (I could see by his speedo that he did get a stiffie when he saw her topfree and it continued as she took his hand and they walked to the water - but as a I understand it this is a normal reaction). Jane is talking about doing this again - and we probably will. Thaks for your encouragement. TJ's mom - you are most welcome. Hope you and you sister have a wonderful first CO experience. I had mine with my daughter a few months ago and believe me it wasn't our last. Although I must say it was easier for her than for me, but I am so glad that I did slip out of my bikini - I think it is in a drawer somewhere. Sounds like everyone had a great day. I can understand your feeling a little jealous - I must admit there are time when I would like to go back. As I have mentioned as I walk the South FL coast several hours everyday I have seen more speedos and thongs, but also more young girls who are topfree, but I have never seen 7 in one group like you had! It is usually one or two girls, once I saw three posing for a picture. There are still several moms who allow their pre-school kids to play and swim nude. The young girl (13?) who showers nude partially protected by her mom holding up a towel continues to do this regularly and she continues to give me her little wave when I look her way. So all is about the same here - just want to say that I am glad you all had such a nice day. I think you handled the Lisa situation wisely. NF
