My visit to Wreck (Nude) beach , Vancouver B.C.August 10 2004 at 7:41 PM | David (no login) |
| Dear Forum members, as I just visited a major nude beach in Vancouver, it has brought up a few queries which I wrote here, which I started writing about in search of answers with this introductory testimony, that I posted on two other Bulletin Boards. So please don;t think I am antinaturialism, I am not.... I'm not church oriented but simply Christian and witnessing oriented for the Lord. I may see things differently from many of you, so allow me just to give you my straight forward thoughts concerning Wreck beach before I ever discovered your forum.
If you have honest queries, I can respond to them.... as I am very interested in Praising the Lord nude, and witnessing to other naturialists about the Lord, and bringing more life and community into the nudists community... Ha by giving the Lord more and more credit for our bodies, and lives and spirits.
Blessings to ALL
David

Seeing this is the place for testimonies, then I better have some ... and start things off... (the more we share the more we get .... for them that hath shalt be given and those that have not or share not to them shall be taken away even that what they seemeth to have ... )
Anyways, my darling, my love, my wife was off to Ottawa for our son;s bride's shower, and I had a day to myself in Vancouver before her plane arrived.
I had heard about Wreck Beach near UBC, just 45 minutes outside Vancouver towards Point Grey, and so ventured there to see what it was like. We live in the Interior and I and now we, me and wife have been to a rather isolated nude beach here ... (SEE Threesome Rainbow testimony). So I thought I'd take a step up to the big leagues and see
waht all the hype was about Wreck beach.
Well, I found the main entranceway along a busy highway at the end of the Universoty, but strangely there was even tourist buses parked there, with Japanese or Chinese pouring out of them. Clothed people were pouring down these well constructed wooden steps and so I joined them after parking about a ten minute walk away.
It was hot and down I and others descended through the canopy forest. It was awesome to the say the least and extremely steep. The steps were wide enough though for about three people abreast, and apparrently I heard there was 394 steps until we reached the sandy bottom and the beach.
For there a sickle shaped beach of fine sand came into view maybe four hundred yards in length. It was strun with big logs that were interwoven into small cubby holes and private areas for all the nudists.
But all weren't entirely nude, as I strated to walk along I noticed many sun bathers in regular swim shorts, some girls only topless, and maybe only half fully nude. Thankfully the tourist types didn't seem to have the courage to go too far into the nudist areas, but took only shots from far away.
There were about five stalls selling prints, and beach blankets that gave the whole place a Renassance feel, as they flew in the wind. The sound of quitars with a few people joining in, gave the whole beach the flavour of almost a few decades ago during the hippie era. But few long haired people around, a little bit of drugs, and yet a whole lot of beer vendors, strolling through the masses, of bodies. And I do mean masses as nude and semi-nude people were everywhere so that it was hard to find a clear pathway through to the beach.
But then again, after I dooned my clothes and just sat on a log pretending to watch the sea and boarders in the shore surf, I did notice that most groups and singles did not mix much. Many knew the nude vendors, and chatted with them, but little mixing among bathers seemed to go on.
Not many old folks, but mainly the young and beautiful, or the long and endowed whether male or female. This of course didn't offend me at all, but it did kind of stroke me that even with all their attempts to be a community, they were really just individuals or couples or friends sharing some thrills and liberation on the beach.
I reckon that at one time, they might have thought this bit of paradise would be a start of a new culture, maybe in the late 60's or early 70's, but surely it never progressed beyond just simple nudity.
There was as mentioned some drugs being used, and some being sold, but when the police would come down the steps, there was an early warning system to all via 'calls' and whistles that the authorities were coming .. and they would find nothing and go back up the stairs, usually empty handed.
Darn, a naked vendor came over to my right with a shovel in hand, just after the police left, and started digging, and VIOLA, magically a chest full of beer came into view just a foot or so below the level of the sand. To think I was just that close to all that cold beer on such a hot day. The vendors apparrently hid their beer at night, and then would uncover it when the bathers came in and filled up the beach.
Was there sex on the beach, NO, not much contact between people at all, a few hugs here and there, but then again maybe more happens at dusk when the sun starts to go down. A few couples head to the forest from the beach, but it seemed very few.
Were there Christians among them... absolutely, but who was who and who among them would be interested in nude praise to the Lord, or even more. I don't know, but surely with the seven hundred or so nudists there, there has to be great potennial, if any in Vancouver had the faith, to sing, talk, have back packs with a on-line discussion board, or website displayed. I was just there a day, it was kind of inspiring, but because the Spirit didn;t quite flow among them, it left me a bit dry and down. Ha, but I'm sure I would go again for another try if I or we happn=enned to be in town again, because the human body is an amazing and beautiful creation.
Ha, we all look like brothers and sisters when naked. All basically the same, but thank God for the variety and VIVA LA DIFFERENCE.
So there be my day at WRECK Beach, Vancouver and a few of my impressions ... |
