So what will YOU be doing?

Myra and I will be heading to White Tail Park (for the first time in weeks!!) to camp the entire weekend. We arrive Fri. nite and won't leave 'till Mon afternoon.

I'm gonna try to beat my record for time spent nude. Let's see... 6:30 Fri untill, oh, about 7 or 8 Mon is... uh, how long?

The bad part? Looks like we may be camping through a hurricane. That should be fun.

God Bless
Kevin and Myra

Good News

August 31 2004, 12:32 AM

Our Daughter and Son-In-Law are the ones with the Baby GirL born in early April.

Our Son-In-Law received his Doctorate in Chemistry at the University of Florida. He is finishing up a 3-year postdoctorate at the University of Kentucky.

He had been trying to hook on with NASA's Aimes' Laboratory in Northern California. However, the funding just never seemed to pan out. Last week, he was at a meeting in Starkville, Mississippi. Someone steered him toward a certain job. He had already applied and been turned down because someone else had gotten his application in earlier.

He finally went to the Department. It turns out that the other guy had not completed all of the paperwork despite several attempts by the Department to get the information. After a few minutes, as I gather, it was sort of, 'When are you gonna' start?', surprising our Son-In-Law.

He had to clear it with a couple of places, including NASA, where they were still waiting for funding. He, our Daughter, and Granddaughter will be in Starkville next week. They will be house hunting, etc. This thrills both Grandmothers since Starkville is about 200-250 miles away the two homes, rather than the 2,400 miles to California.

So, we will drive to Starkville on Labor Day to see them. No, ain't no way that they or my wife are ever going to be social nudists. My wife is a home naturist of sorts. However, even that is good news.

So, Myra, you make sure that Kevin has enough fun for me since I won't ever get to engage in social naturism.

Starkville is the home of Mississippi State University. Our S-I-L will be working in a specialized Laboratory affiliated with Mississippi State University.

P. S. No, I don't speak Chemistry, much less that kind of science. I won't know what he'll be doing if he tries to explain it.

Lets hope Fran skips FL

August 31 2004, 10:43 PM

We got thru Charley alive and without a whole lot of damage...we Just got power back on not long ago and we still have lots of water standing all around the house knee deep and all the tree limbs that were knocked down (still waiting to be picked up) lets hope they get picked up b4 Fran comes thru and Throws them around like tinker toys again... I pray for everyone who is having to face bad weather knowing that some still don't have power and now this on top of everything just might be too much for some to deal with... I know the Old saying "God don't give you more than you can handle" well I am not so sure of that anymore or he has me Mistaken for someone else I think.... any way thanks for a place to vent...
please keep me and my family a my husband is on a bipap breathing machine and needs power to run it and my Teenager has asthma and when the heat is bad she don't do well and our Foster greyhounds and my 2 Chihuahuas and my cat and sugar gliders in your prayers...

yes I know all the pets sound like a small zoo but It all works out just Purrrfect =^;^= but with the pets most shelters will not take us so we stay here and try and keep each other calm... if we knew for sure where fran was hitting we could go get a room that lets the pets but with not knowing and the fact that it cost so much to do that we stay put.. be well Live much Laugh Lots and Love enough.... =^;^= kitty

Prayers

September 1 2004, 6:29 PM

We'll pray for all you Floridians. The news three hours ago didn't sound too good, but of course so much depends on where the hurrican makes landfall.

No hurricane in SoCal.

August 31 2004, 7:55 PM

Hello everybody,

Just wanted to say hello. I am from Southern Calif., and the weather is just gorgeous right now. However, I will not be doing anything out of the ordinary for the weekend - hang around at coffee shops and get some reading done.

Kevin, enjoy yourself during the hurricane - just stay safe. I used to live in a place where we got hurricanes. I remember the one time the whole place flooded, and people actually loved it - and of course, I did too. You don't see people rowing boats in American streets very often, but it happened then.

I have been into naturism for about 3 months - been to San Onofre a few times, but I want a more private way to enjoy it. So, I am thinking of joining a non-landed club based in San Diego, Naturally California. Anybody heard of it? Let me know what you think if you have.

Cheers,
JA
