From which Christian denominations do nudists usually come? Are there any Catholic nudists?

Catholic Nudists ?

Now I am a liberal conservative Protestant in Austria, a country with a catholic "mayority" (i.e do not aks to which percentage one is a faithful member of "his" church).

When in the eighties two resort towns - Bad Goiasern and Obertraun on Hallstaettersee attempted to dedicate one half of the lakeshore of Halstaettersee in their property to
"FKK", the state governments demand was a statement of the local Catholic and the local Protestant parish on the matter- and in both towns they approved. I mean the parish board members can be seen as faithful to their Church.
(Both towns are in a salt mining area; the salt miners of high professional skills were just needed and therefore tolerated in the Counterreformation - that is why there are both parishes of about equal membership.)

According to their Faith

November 10 2004, 7:56 AM

As I traveled from forum to forum, and created this one, I found that Christian Naturists are across all Christians according to their faith.

Catholic, Presbetarian, Baptist, Methodist, "Church of God", Latter Day Saints, Seventh Day Adventists and SD Baptists, Humilitarianism to Egotisticism, et al.

You name it, we are all here. But not all can safely tell their family of believers, which is very sad to say. We are "members" of churches with strict guidelines, very few can honestly say we are brothers and sisters in faith.

We are members of the Worldwide Church of God, originally seventh day sabatarians and keepers of the Old Testament laws, but now have changed our beliefs which made it easier to understand naturism in Christianity.

Catholic Nudists

I'm a Catholic Christian and a nudist. I happen to know 2 priests and a seminarian who are nudists. We're out there.

I think social nudism can be an important way for Christians of all stripes to bear witness (no pun intended (although I kind of wish I had)). It's a powerful affirmation that we are all created, both physically and spiritually, in the image and likeness of God. I also think, at the risk of being prelapsarian about it, that we can try to witness an Eden-like respect for life and for God that Adam and Eve lost and could only be regained through Jesus Christ's love and sacrafice.

Sorry, I felt the need to rant.
