Dreams: Clothed or nude? (A fun survey)

During the chat this evening (you should've been there) I asked the question:
In your dreams, are you nude or clothed?

My answer? I am nude in my dreams, but never taken for granted.

Dreams are SO wierd, so they make for funny stories. For example, in a recent dream I explained to my wife:
I was walking through an inner city neighborhood, minding my own business (nude, as usual). Everybody was looking at me with a serious look. I thought, "Oh, man? Is this one of those neighborhoods where I am supposed to be wearing clothes? I didn't know that!"

Finally, a man in the door of a shop said to me, "Hey, where did you get those newspapers? Do you know how rare those things are?" (The fact that I was carrying a couple of newpapers didn't seem important until he asked that question.) Then lots of people were suddenly crowded around me, asking for certain sections of the paper, trading sections, etc.

See? Wierd, huh? My wife got a chuckle out of it too. Nobody cared whether I was wearing any clothes or not. They just wanted to read the newpapers I was carrying. LOL!!!

So, in your dreams, are you nude or clothed (or don't know)?

Let's hear some WIERD dreams. Can you top mine? (Watch it though. I've got more.)

Our Dreams Can Change the World!

February 23 2005, 7:53 AM

Its interesting after our chat last night, I thought about that. I had trouble sleeping as usual but when I finally did, I remember having a dream that I was working in my shop nude (That IS normal for me in real life) and a security guard walked up and caught me working nude. (By the way, it was my own shop downstairs in my house basement.....security guard?? Now that is what I need to analyze!)

I had no idea the results of it, I just remember that short bit. The guard was a short female, which is interesting since my wife is only 5' tall and she had been a security guard for Pinkerton and others in years past.

I don't know if that was related or not, but it was an interesting "study" for me. Seems like I was analyzing the situation, not feeling "caught" but studying my situation as if it were a test of some sort.

But I have had dreams where I was nude and wondered if this was the right situation because I really do want to be nude. Seems others were "tolerating" it at least if not completely OK with it. It's like your neighbor saying it's OK with them if you are nude in your yard, yet it seems to you that they started to act differently towards you later. But that may not be really true. Just your imagination.

One thing I do know is that dream analysts would have to rewrite their books if they interviewed us because in their versions of dreams, being nude means you are feeling vulnerable, insecure, or maybe some psychological freedom at work or home that is not nude related. Like flying, not a real life situation but can only be played out in your dreams.

However, it's real for us. It's what we REALLY want to be and do! We do not fear being nude in public. It's no fantasy for us! So our nude dreams have a totally different psycholigical interpretation for us.

Talk about changing the face of psychology! I think we can change the world!

Romans 12:1-2 "And so, dear Christian friends, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is." (before you close this comment, think a moment about the last few words...meditate on it..."Then you will know what God wants you to do,..."..think about it.)

In fact, take each segment of the sentence and meditate on them.
"Dear Christian Friends"
"I plead with you"
"Give your bodies to God"
"A living holy sacrifice"
"He will accept"
"Think what he has done for you"
"Is this too much to ask?"
"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world"
"Let God transform you"
"into a new person"..."by"..."changing"
"by changing"
"changing the way you think"
"You will know"
"what God wants you to do"

.......continue in this pattern, you will find many interesting thoughts.

Dreams

February 23 2005, 9:27 PM

Only one problem with my dreams... I don't have any.

Except when I'm sick, I fall asleep almost instantly when I lay down, and I'm basically dead to the world until the morning. There have actually been times when Myra has tried to wake me and was unable to.

In a years time I may have two or three dreams that I can remember, and then usually all I do remember is that I HAD a dream- no details.

Supposedly I have an extremely active imagination, and my mind tends to wander... maybe by the time I go to bed it's tired!!

God Bless
Kevin

Dream on

Actually, you do dream. You just don't remember. If you don't dream, you will start having psychological effects that would send you to the funny farm.

But with your active immagination, you may be so used to "day dreaming" that maybe your mind is more relaxed at night.

I also have problems with remembering or even noticing I have dreams, but I do know I have them. I have problems getting to sleep in the first place and having to take something like Benedril (allergy medicine that has same base ingredients as sleeping pills....thats why you don't operate heavy machinery) and I think that affects my dreams too.

I think there is a way you can remember your dreams, but then again, you may not want to. Your dreams are a way your brain sorts out the stuff you don't have time to during the day. Sometimes if you remember too many of your dreams, you are sleeping way too light or you are having other problems that you will need to look into.

Waking up is not a problem for me. It's getting to sleep in the first place.

Re: Dream on

I'm one of also those that has trouble getting to sleep (I have a Herbal Insomnia pill and Sleep Tea which are partially helpful) and I seem to be able to survive quite happily on about 6 hours (Average) per night.

I must sleep reasonably deeply though as I don't usually wake much and I rarely remember any dreams. This has changed from my youth when I had some quite vivid dreams and I can still remember some of the details of them.

Blessings

Yeah, I know.

What I meant is that I almost never have dreams that I remember. That ain't what I said, but that's what I meant.

Listen to what I mean, not what I say...

God Bless
