Privacy Screens

Ok, I built a deck for our above ground pool, and you can see the deck from the street, and 1 house across the street. I've tried putting beach towels on the deck handrails to block out any unwanted eyes from viewing my nude activities. This works well if I'm not planning on standing up. I was wondering if anyone has ever used the "D'Mask" Standalone Privacy Screen, or anything similar. I'm thinking of ordering one. They come in 60" x 24'-0" long units, and 1 screen would do the trick! I was just wondering how durable they are, and if anyone could recommend them.

Thanks,
Rob

Let me know

Hey Rob! I didn't know you were on this board, too. I should have known though I guess.

Since no one has answered you yet, I guess no known has used the screens you mentioned. Let me know what you come up with. I'd be interested in knowing because would like to make our yard private one day, too.

Your friend,

You may need less

You may need less screen than you think. Consider the areas of your yard that might already be made private by existing fence and shrubs.

I don't have the money for high wooden fences, but I did have enough spare nylon sash material to create portable private areas for getting sun. I had to double up the fabric to render it fully opaque, but it worked.

One of my favorite spots to lie down is protected on the north side by an elevated concrete patio. To my south, a thick wall of greenery at the back of the yard gives me privacy. I only have to put my portable screen on the east side. I take my portable phone, my cell phone and sometimes my work out there along with a cold drink. I cherish my nude backyard time. The robins and mockingbirds keep me company and don't mind my nudity.

Privacy screens

I know this is late... sorry.

For the deck I'm building at my house, I'm going to use lattice's to make the view through the railing poor enough that I will be able to be naked. Two overlapping layers of lattice, on opposite sides of the rail, will still be ornamental enough to not look tacky or too obvious, and will block all but a very intentional observer.

God Bless
Kevin
