Hey all... I'm back (if you even noticed that I was gone... ).
I've been pretty sick since Thursday (some people would say I've been sick alot longer than that) and haven't been able to keep up with all the goings-on here. The couch has been a very good friend.
There are alot of posts that I'll probably not get a chance to read, so somebody give be an update if I missed anything horribly important, relevant, or funny.
I'll try to pop in quick over the next few days, but until Saturday I'll be pretty busy helping out a friend with his wedding preparations. After that I should be back to normal... whew!!!
One other thing- I have a very important request that I've put before a judge, and I could really use y'all's prayers for a speedy answer (in my favor wouldn't hurt, either...). If you could help out I would be very grateful.
Great to see so many posts- even if I haven't been able to read them all.
I'm glad you're feeling better. I asked Charlie Brown (aka Boyd) where Linus (aka you) was yesterday. You've been missed.
Check out the thread that Melissa wrote about being asked to write an article. That's really neat, eh?
My fourth day talk went well on Sunday and then 15 people layed hands on me and one of the rectors annointed me with oil and even prayed in Hebrew. I have this incredible feeling of peace and contentment!
Boyd said you were his evil twin.
I wrote a mission statement on the music forum that Gwin liked.
Several of us had weekend jaunts that the rest of us are envious of.
And someone else will have to fill in here. My head hurts from thinking.
Feel better.
You're in my prayers for healing, court and getting through the wedding.
Melissa and I decided that we could have CNC in North Carolina.
After that I suggested that you and Myra, Trailscout, Melissa and I
invade Boyd and Gwin's house for a slumber party. Melissa is bringing
donuts, Boyd and Gwin can provide coffee, and I've suggested that
I'll fix my all day preparation fajitas, with my choice of import beer.
If you will look down the thread that you started when you wrote Melissa and I a note, you will find out how this evolved.
If you remember, Melissa and I compromised on North Carolina for CNC ( ) and it went on from there.
You have to admit, "Bug Boyd Bash" is pretty good!?! (Of course it could also be, "Bring Bottles of Beer."
I just have to get there!
We've got to do it while I'm in
a brave and courageous time.
Oh, and Samuel Adams beer
would be fine (NOT the new
50 proof), or Shiner Bock, or
any import, except Corona or
the like. It's got to be a good
stout beer for a horn player.

I also drink Dos Equis (XX) when in Mexican restaurants. Did you know XX was created by a German?
A German beer maker went to South America and started a brewery. Of course, he made German style beer! Put a couple of X's on the bottles to indicate strong alcoholic beer, and they called it "Dos Equise" or "Two X's".
That's what I've always said! Our so-called beer, with the exception of VERY few and mostly smaller companies and microbreweries, is like some kind of bizarre colored water! And tastes even more bizarre!! I'd rather have a wine cooler if those were my choices and I DESPISE wine coolers! I love British beer. A former horn instructor of mine made his own beer. My lesson each week consisted of about 2 hours (at his house) of playing (only at had to have a one hour lesson each week) and then we'd sit back and drink beer for a while. I've often said (except to my parents) that Mike contributed to my deliquency. He told me it part of the right of passage for a horn player. YEAH!!!
Samuel Adams, which used to be a mere microbrew in Massachusetts, and now sells nationwide, just came out with a new 50 proof equivalent to hard liquor. Haven't had any, but I do like Samuel Adams. It the exclusive beer of choice when I was in Maine for a music festival a few years ago.

Our most favorite Mex place on the way home from church has Bohemia beer. It's my favorite. Had beers all over the world. I'ts my most favorite.
Shiner made in a little area of Texas is pretty good, too. Think I like the regular over their Bock. Got a couple bottles of Bock still in the frig though.
Bohemia is good. There's a place in Columbus, Georgia (trailscout may know about it) that sells beers from all over the world. They have so many that they give the customers a check list and when you've tried all of them they give you a t-shirt and place your name on the wall in the Beer Hall of Fame. They also have excellent food. My brother, sister-in-law, and I went there when I lived in Alabama. I think my brother and I made it through 10 different beers that night. And yes, my sister-in-law drove home.

Just wondering if you guys are getting high on the booze or the Spirit. Come on does it take a brusky to feel great or what. Sorry just had to poke a little fun at you all. Wally
Wally,
Thank you for poking fun. Quite frankly, I'm just high on life!
Which I guess makes me high on the Spirit and not the "spirits."
Being high on the Spirit, allows me the freedom to enjoy the
"spirits" (in moderation) and all that the Father created!

Hearing a story about an early monistary in Germany that was concerned about drinking beer so they sent some to the pope with the question. As I remember the story, the reply was something to the effect "If you can drink something that tastes like this, you must be holy.
There are so many ways I could reply to that. Knowing that I've had four days of
18 hours straight in the Texas heat, plus three major headaches, I'll refrain from all
of them right now.
