back on 28 Jul, I had requested prayer for guidance regarding employment.
Spent a short time today with the Principal at the school. As I expected, my hours are being cut due to a >10% decrease in enrollment.
Suprisingly, I really feel more at peace now than during the last month when I didn't know.
I've been applying for other positions, mostly going back to engineering with a few teaching positions as well.
The last few days, I've been struggling to find the faith to believe that things will work out. I could not see the answer and for my peace of mind, I needed to see something!
I wrote down our need for employment in a book I have that is marked, "God's problems, not mine" Maybe just confessing it in writing was a key step.
I'd appreciate your prayers and I'll let you know what happens.

I can relate.
I pray God leads you and gives you peace in your part of the change that so many of us are feeling at this time.
Our pastor reminded us that God seems to work with us better in our lowest times. Jesus in the wilderness, result, Satan left and the angels ministered him. Jacob was in a hard place (rock pillow anyone?) and was it Joseph who wrestled with God? He finally talked to God in a relational way. Many in the bible were examples of getting "real" with God and God responding to them when they got real with God and talked to him in a relationship building way.
I suppose God is doing the same with us.
I got my job back that I lost a week ago! I was laid off Friday, and Wednesday evening they called me to come back Thursday. I will probably be there through September.
God is there. I know it. We just have to be there too and talk to God in a real and Person to person way. Jesus said that we are not just servants, we are now his friends. Friends talk. Servants don't ask questions.
Maybe God is getting us all setup for a special time. We just need to listen to him.
Sad news for Nancy (Drhornist), she just got news that her position at the college did NOT go through, after she spent all that time writing a sylibus (sp?). Needless to say, she is down in the dumps right now.
