Hi Everyone!

Having just returned from out first naturist holiday as a family, IT WAS AWESOME! Probably one of the nicest times we've had as a family. And, a large part of the holiday was hot and sunny....

Ann and I have never seen such a nice, trustful bunch of people, and we met two other Christian couples too!
It was a wonderful time..So now we're back...you'll be hearing more from me again!

If anyone wants to check out where we went, it was really wonderful, a great place for families too! Our kids loved it... www.naturistholidays.co.uk

Blessed family

That is great! I know you all must have had a wonderful time together! I know we do when we go! I am more at peace and more relaxed at a naturist resort than at any other place around. All the places people go to are usually busy, busy, busy. Go here, do that, spend money, eat, eat, eat. And they call that a "vacation" or "holiday".

A naturist resort is practically the opposite! You don't even have to worry about "what to wear"!

It's always in fashion, always there
maybe wrinkled, but who cares?

What really excites me is the enthusiasm your family put into it. Sometimes people will refuse to relax and enjoy the freedom that can be theirs. We limit God's power of love and freedom by holding back with fear. Even us naturist are guilty of such things in our lives. We may not be afraid to go naked when and where possible, and even push the envelope a bit there too, yet are afraid to go out and do other things in life that can lead to success.

I need to be less afraid, more positive, more of a living, dynamic, exciting life with full naked, unashamed, enthusiasm!

Enthusiasm

Boyd wrote, "I need to be less afraid, more positive, more of a living, dynamic, exciting life with full naked, unashamed, enthusiasm!"

We all need to aim for that, don't we? I know I do. I try. I think it's that enthusiasm and zest for life that got to me this week. I was so excited about teaching this class and so ready to share that excitement with the students that when they pulled it out from under me, I allowed that zest to hit the floor and got depressed.

Now that I've met with this band directors and talked with the students, I'm regaining that zest. (Sometimes I wonder if I'm bipolar the way I react.) But it takes me a bit to gain my resolve and then I'm off again.

But I am striving to live my life this way. That's the way God intended us to live! Perhaps reading this book that I've been reading has solidified that belief. Is everything going to go our way? No. Did God promise that? No. Are we going to have times of wondering when are the bad things going to stop? Oh, yeah! We got a call again yesterday that my uncle in Washington, D.C. died. That's five deaths in four weeks and four calls have been on Fridays for the past four weeks. Plus my cousin is still in the hospital.

But perhaps what I'm learning through all these deaths that they are in a better place, and God still wants us to live a life in honor of Him. That certainly doesn't mean we can't mourn and be sad, but we should mourn and be sad, and get back into life and get on with the race.

That's hard to do. I'm working on it this week, though.

Blessings!

Enthusiasm Defined

August 27 2005, 5:11 PM

Just thought it might excite us all to know that the root of the word "enthusiasm" is:- "To be Empowered by God"!

Great isn't it!

Thanks for reminding me of that, Tony. I've known that and it slipped my mind
while writing the post. And just think of the people who say they aren't Christian,
Jewish, Muslim or religious at all who use the word "Enthused" or "Enthusiasm"
every day and don't know that it does mean, "Empowered by God." We are all,
in the words of Rich Mullins, "Beautifully and wonderously made" my Him and
thus empowered by Him on a daily basis. If that doesn't score one for those of
us who know where we came from, I don't know what does.

Blessings!
Nancy
