Just sent invitation

September 8 2005, 6:18 PM

I just sent the web site to my e-mail list buddies.

I'll do as much as I can that morning. Afternoon and night will be spent watching college feetsball.

Yeah!

September 8 2005, 11:54 PM

Another fan of college football! Last Saturday I didn't get much
accomplished because I was watching college games all day and
night long. I even manage to adopt the "previous channel" click,
going back and forth between two games. The Miami/FSU game
on Monday was great! I was quite pleased with the outcome. On the
flipside, I was too happy with the outcome of the Auburn game.

There's nothing quite like Saturdays in the fall with college football.

Best prepared team

September 9 2005, 6:17 AM

About the best-prepared team seemed to be Va Tech. NC State gave them a good fight but made a couple boners that gave Tech the game.

Oklahoma was terrible. May be the year for Mac's Texas bunch to beat them.

Actually, I'm also looking for Texas Tech to beat the the last game of the season...in Lubbock.
OU looked bad.

Re: Yeah!

Geeze Nancy, you need to move out here to Southern California and hang out with my wife. She also loves the football scene, but it holds no interest for me. Now...the beer drinking that goes along with the football watching, that's entertainment (LOL). I enjoy going to a live baseball game occasionally (ironically, we only live 3 miles from the Angels and I rarely go), but I guess I just can't sit still long enough for multiple football games on TV. I just end up washing dishes and some other housework. Of course, the little maid outfit I wear always entertains my wife, but that's a whole 'nother story that's best left to the imagination <blush>.

Just note...

September 10 2005, 1:03 AM

...that it's only the COLLEGE football I enjoy. I could care less about about pro football, unless it's the superbowl and I'm with friends who have managed to get their hands on REAL bratwurst from Wisconsin -- boiled in beer and onion first and then grilled. And of course there has to be a flow of German beer with it. But college ball is really my thing during the fall.

You can keep the college football, but...

September 9 2005, 7:21 PM

... I'll be heading to the Winston Cup... oops!... the Nextel Cup race in Richmond tomorrow (saturday).

Go fast!! Turn left!!

It's four of us from the shop, and we'll be taking the 16 yr old new kid, who has never been to a race before.

Should be fun...

Live racing is cool!

September 10 2005, 1:08 AM

San Antonio hosted a grand prix for a few years. My brother-in-law has always worked in dealerships and was able to get some paddock passes along with tickets for the race. THAT WAS COOL! Watching those little grand prix cars whip around hairpin turns with that high speed hum or zing that they make is great! I really enjoyed the weekend when we did that. Enjoy Richmond...one of my favorite cities.

Not much here

September 8 2005, 7:38 PM

We don't have much of a garden here, just tomatoes right now. Oh, Kevin, sorry, I meant to give you some 'maters before you and Myra left.

S'okay...

September 8 2005, 8:24 PM

... I don't really like 'maters anyway.

Myra does, though. She says to go ahead and mail 'em.

Bummed

September 9 2005, 2:44 PM

I am really bummed (no pun intended). I will be outof town at a church meeting and doubt that I will be able to do anything nude that day. Maybe next year.

Clothed briefly

September 11 2005, 7:07 AM

Went out for about an hour to see a Through The Garden Gate site. Got back and stripped again and went out to pick raspberries. Had an audience for the little patch out front. One of the young ladies was facing towards our lawn. I skipped the tiny patch by the driveway that was a little too close for (her) comfort. That patch is about to be done away with as it isn't good for holding moisture in dry years like this year. Berries all tiny there.

Then my naked hike. Then naked feetsball watching. At least OU won this week. Went down briefly to collect some taters and acorn squash to take to church this morning. Things sell out well there. All prices $0.00 each, bags included.

So, I was naked all except for about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Saw ends of Texas-OSU and LSU-ASU games this morning on ESPN2. Awesome games, both very close, winners Texas and LSU. See LSU is playing coach tag again. They have the Cowboys old coach.

GAMES

September 12 2005, 2:28 PM

I beg to differ on the OU win. As a Texan, I'm just not an OU fan! SORRY.
I was very pleased that Texas won. And although I'm a huge Auburn fan,
I'm glad LSU won because I think in some ways it boosted moral. They
are playing the "Tag, You're Coach This Week" Game though.

Did you notice that Texas is ranked #2 on both polls today and Texas Tech is
ranked #18 and #19 which is up from #21 last week? Oklahoma is actually
ranked BELOW Texas Tech in the AP Poll and #17 on the USA Today Poll.

That Texas/Ohio State game was great though! I about lost my voice yelling for
Texas.

It's too bad that I am not more passionate about everything I do in life, eh?
