I just wanted to apologize for missing the first chat of the fall.

As I told Boyd in an email, we had a a family crisis that is now
resolved, sort of, but the phone needed to remain open.

I'll probably be back on the forum on Wednesday as I've got
yet another funeral to attend tomorrow, and then take care of
some business. A professor of mine from undergrad passed
away from cancer.

I'm starting to keep "score" now. Not a great thing to keep score
on, but...since June, there's been 11 funerals. Since Arlington National
Cemetery delayed my uncle's until October 5th, that will be 12.

It gets depressing at times.

I may not be able to read any email for a while. Somehow, Yahoo screwed up my account and changed my password and I am not able to get in.

I sent them an email (using other email accounts) explaining the problem. If I don't get this resolved, then my Geocities account, under the same password, is messed up too. That is where I keep my website!
