...they are much appreciated. (And Boyd, I did get your messages...give me a couple more days to feel like talking.)
My mouth is feeling a little better today, although it still hurts to swallow, so eating is still difficult. It's a wonderful diet plan...NOT!
I seem to come up with this diet plans that won't sell. If I'd just come up with one that doesn't require getting sick, have dental surgery, etc...
I got out a little while with my mother and drove down (she did the driving) to the small town south of here where she's from today. Her parents and one of my uncles is buried at the small cemetery there and she always puts poinsettias on the gravesites at Christmas. I always end up getting a family history lesson when I make a trip like that, and so I did enjoy listening to her tell me more about the town, homes, people and area. I guess I'll end up as family historian one day.
The amazing thing is that is the first thing I've done, besides Thanksgiving and their anniversary, in weeks that didn't require me to pack my horn and teach, or run to a rehearsal. Christmas Day can't come soon enough. It will be the first day I'll have off this month that is free from teaching and playing.
I'll try to keep you all updated, and perhaps send Boyd an email to let you all know what's happening in the coming days. When I go back on Wednesday I'm guessing we'll have to do the same procedure again. He said we might because they could come back again that quickly, and they are. In the meantime, I'm resting in between teaching, preparing for next semester and rehearsals.
Thanks again for the prayers and support.
Blessings!
Nancy
