Christmas song that's blessed me today

Hi All,

I've been listening over and over today to what has become one of my favorite Christmas albums: "King of Glory", by the Sacred Music Services (SMS) Men's Chorus (I have no affiliation / financial link to them, but they put out some great music for those of us with more of a classical bent . . . see www.smsrecordings.com )

Anyway, last cut on the album is "Ten Thousand Hallelujahs", by Ron Hamilton ((c) 1990 Majesty Music) . . . lyrics (assuming I've transcribed them correctly):

The heavens shimmer 'round the babe in silence,
The shepherds gaze in wonder at the sight.
The angels look to heaven to receive their Lord's command,
Then ten thousand hallelujahs fill the night!

Chorus:
Ten thousand hallelujahs explode across the sky,
Ten thousand hallelujahs exalt His Name on high.
"Our God shall reign forever", the host of heaven sings!
Ten thousand hallelujahs, ten thousand hallelujahs,
Ten thousand hallelujahs will crown Him King of Kings!

The Savior struggles up the hill of Calvary.
The soldiers scoff and coldly watch him die.
The host of hell rejoices as He suffers on the tree,
Then a mighty "it is finished!" splits the sky!

(Chorus)

--------------------------------

Every time I hear it, I can picture the normal, starlight night-time sky suddenly exploding with thousands of angels glorifying God . . . given the reactions recorded in Scripture when humans encountered a single angel, it must have been absloutely terrifying for the shepherds!!

I can picture the scenes in the second verse, and the (apparently) bad situation going to worse, until the sudden reversal when His payment for us was finished.

Each time I listen to this song, I'm overwhelmed with His love for us!!

--------------------------------
I long to see this up as a multimedia presentation with the images of angels exploding across the front of a venue . . .

Regards,
Mark
