I got a weired phone call. Wrong number actually. But it was from a former company I worked for many years ago. A billboard company where I painted at.
I have the ID turned on and recognized it, answered it professionally, and the person at the other end asked for someone I didn't know.
But after that, I explained my conection with them, and she told me she would let the operations manager who I worked with years ago, know what happened.
I told her that it was fate that she called me.
Of course, I realize that the paint department in the billboard industry, all them across the country, has really slowed down to almost nothing since the computer graphics and large printing has become the norm.
Where we used to have around 4 to 5 top painters along with a couple of helpers, they now have only one top painter that has been there since I was there. And he is working slow now.
So my thoughts of getting back with a company like that outside of sales is not possible. But who knows?
