| I would ask for your prayers yet again for my family, and especially my mother. I was awaken by a phone call this morning, and after telling them that "No, we have no extra money to donate," I opened my bedroom door to begin my morning ritual. A few minutes later I heard a thud from my parents' bathroom and ran in there. My Mom was passed out on the floor between the comoode and the bathtub. She was definitely out of it for a few minutes. I finally got her roused and up. I contacted my sister, who contacted my Dad. He came home and it was finally decided that she needed to go to the ER. I don't know anything beyond that. Dad called just a bit ago and said they were still waiting. Sure glad it wasn't "an emergency." (Read a LOT of sarcasm into this.)
I'll let you all know something when I do.

My sister is with my Dad at the hospital. They are admitting Mom as we speak and will be doing some kind of scope before the day is out. Her "cabbage problem" from eating too much cabbage last night was/is apparently profuse bleeding. They don't know where it is from.
We don't know much else. I'm leaving now to teach my three main classes and cancelled my piano class. I'm guessing I'm playing the week by ear now. It looks like it will be a wild ride.
PEACE!

Sorry to hear that. Gwin would have problems if she ate too much "roughage" such as cabbage or other "greens" such as that. It is needed, especially if eaten on a regular basis rather than eating it (and a lot of it) when you have not been eating things like this for a long time.
I hope they find it quickly and she recovers soon.
Hang in there sis

After 12 hours of messing around in the ER, the hospital FINALLY put my mom in a room about 10 PM last night. They did insert a tube to see if there was blood in the stomach. That's apparently not where the bleeding is. This morning they are doing more "exotic" tests. Meanwhile, she has had a couple of pints of blood and does seem to be more coherent than she was when she collapsed yesterday morning. Almost 24 hours afterwards and it still scares me. If it had happened on Monday, she may have laid there all day. Or if it happened on a typical Wednesday, she may have laid there half a day. God certainly knew when to time it at least, eh?
What happens after these tests is anybody's guess. I'll keep you posted.
PEACE!

Whether we specifically respond or not, Nancy, we're still all out here praying for you and your family. I, personally, just like to ask that He does whatever His will might be.
