Good morning!

KEVIN WROTE:
IF BEING NAKED IN THE SIGHT OF A MEMBER OF THE OPPOSITE SEX IS A SIN ,WHY WAS BATHSHEBA
NOT CONDEMNED BY GOD FOR BEING NAKED WHILE DAVID COULD SEE HER?

The Bible wrote about a punishment for Bathsheba and David by the God.
The Bible wrote that the God murdered a son (an infant) of Bathsheba and David by a mortal disease.
The death of the Bathsheba's son it was a punishment for Bathsheba and David by the God.
(The Bible, the second book of Kingdoms, chapter 12, verses 14-18).

DANIEL WROTE:
"As I have stated in other threads in this and other forums, I have a skin condition known as psoriasis. Psoriasis can come in several forms, the form I have is rare even among psoriasis patients."

Any disease is a punishment for a sinner by the God.
If you have psoriasis then there are one of 2 causes:
1) The God did punish you by the disease. .
2) The God did punish your parents by the disease for you. .

The God can give a health for you. A health is the God's gift.
A nakedness is not a sin.
But it is a sin if male person shows his male nakedness for female persons.
About nude bathing I did wrote that a person can do nude bathing without a naturism.
You can use a lot of possibilities of nude bathing without a naturism.

Do not sin.
I want to wish you a health and a lot of happiness.

Also, if seeing someone of the opposite sex in the nude makes a person lust, and sin in the process, then there are many married couples that are sinful. Not that I am married, but I will venture to say that every time that a married couple has sex, it is most likely not thought about to praise God during the act.

RalphVa wrote:
"If nudity is the big deal that we in North America (and did I hear the UK?) make of it, why did God not add prohibition to it among the curses he put upon Adam and Eve?"

.
About your questions. Adam and Eve are a wife and a husband.
A wife has a right to look at a nakedness of his husband.
A husband has a right to look at a nakedness of his wife.
A husband has a right to have a sex with his wife.
A wife has a right to enjoy a sex with her husband.

The God does approve of a sex between a wife and a husband. (About the event: the Bible, Genesis 2: 24 )
Enjoy a nakedness of your wife.
Enjoy a sexual pleasure with your wife..

NANCY WROTE:
"THE NAKED CHURCH is.."

In any church there are priests..
The Bible wrote that the God orders to priests to wear holy clothes with gold and jewels..
(About the event: the Bible, Exodus, Chapter 28, verses 1-20).
If a priest does not fulfill the Bible's recommendation for priests then the priest is not Christian priest..
A church has an opinion that a nude priest is a devil's servant, a devil's priest....

Yes, if I was to lust after someone that would be a sin -- on MY part, not others.

About the situations The Bible wrote:
Jesus said: " But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
If your eye lusts you, then pull out your eye and throw your eye away ,
because it is better for you to lose your eye than to lose your body for future into the hell's flame."
(Bible , Matpheus's Gospel , Chapter 5, Verses 28-30 )

But The Bible wrote about a punishment for tempters.
The Serpent did tempt Eve. The Serpent cursed the Serpent. (the Bible , Genesis 3: 13-14 )

Wait a moment...

Sigurd,
You wrote the following as an "answer" to my post about The Naked Church (which happens to be a book title):

NANCY WROTE:
"THE NAKED CHURCH is.."

The Bible wrote that the God orders to priests to wear holy clothes with gold and jewels..
(About the event: the Bible, Exodus, Chapter 28, verses 1-20).

The book itself speaks nothing of actual nudity, or nude priests. IT DOES speak of us as Christians loosing the trappings we get so tied up with as a Christian -- the building, the politics, the windows, and the list could go on. To loose those trappings and "strip down" to the bare essentials of Christianity means we have a more authentic, simple and gratifying relationship with God.

I DID go on to say that we as Christian naturists can be equated to that because it is the outer trappings of the world, in the form of clothing, that we remove and feel closer to nature and consequently to God.

One other thing. The comment you made to Daniel about either he or his parents being punished and that being the reason he has a "disease" just isn't right or fair. The God of the New Testament, the Father of our Lord and Savior is not one to punish HIS children, but is one of Loving and Healing. Just my two cents.

PEACE!
Nancy

What is your proof for this in the Bible?

Slow down!

First of all, we appreciate your ambition, but I think you are confusing the Old Testament laws for Moses and Isreal with the laws concerning Christians.

You wrote:
"The Bible wrote that the God orders to priests to wear holy clothes with gold and jewels..

NO where does it "command" a Christian pastor, priest or teacher to do these things. In fact, God gave guidelines to the priests of the old testament along with the blood sacrifices, rituals and many other things that we do not do as Christians. You forget that we are not under the law of Moses. They were "pictures" of things to come, in the body and spirit of Jesus the Christ. It represented in symbolism things which we live on a daily basis as Christians. It is NOT a requirement for today!

Where does it say that a Christian priest has to obey the Hebrew Temple priests law? Jesus fulfilled these things.

And you saying that Daniel (this forum member) is sinning and the result is a skin problem is incorrect. God does not punish people this way! I know of many very "good" Christian people who lives wonderful lives as Christians and are unhealthy! That is a legalistic mind set and is not living by faith.

If you are living according to an old testament law, then you are the one who is not living a Christian life. Jesus fulfilled that way, and he said "I am the way and the life". When Jesus was transformed on the mountain with the vision of Elijah and Moses, God said "This (meaning Jesus) is my beloved son, listen to HIM". And the other two disappeared never to be seen again! But Jesus was seen since then many times.

God created us in HIS image, and Satan is destroying that image by making us believe it is bad.

"Glorify God with your whole body". What does that mean?

And no, God did not punish Bathsheba. It was David who was punished. But even then, God forgave him. It was DAVID that was confronted with the sin. And did you notice that when David confessed, he did NOT say, "But that woman Bathsheba, she was undressed in front of me, I could not help it!" She was innocent.

And God blessed them both and gave them a son named Solomon who became a wise King.

Jesus went out of his way to teach that the sickness of man kind is not always because of sin. A blind man was healed and Jesus said that it was not a sin that caused his blindness by him or his parents. Nothing in the NT says that this is the case.

Priest,yes, prophets went naked

May 29 2006, 8:50 AM

Yes, Sigurd, the priests in the OT had some clothes specified for them. However, it's well know that the prophets went naked in seeking messages from God. Someone saw King Saul out near where the prophets were one day, and he was naked. They asked, "Is Saul one of the prophets?" Even today, there are some naked prophets among the Indian religions (in India) that follow this custom.

The prophets were the ones who were probably closest to God in OT times. The priests just went through the motions of doing the sacrifices and such. The High Priest was about the only one who really got close because he was allowed into the most holy place, whose curtain was torn in 2 while Jesus hung on the cross.

Where do you find it in the Bible that we're not supposed to look upon the sex organs of the other sex?
