Next Appointment

I spoke with the specialist's office in Dallas today and scheduled my next appointment with him on August 18. Because I've had more intense headaches lately (that mostly hit hard and severe and then go away quickly, except for a couple of long ones), he feels it's time to do another round of scans. He wants to make sure the mass and lesions aren't growing to the point that we'll have to do more aggressive treatment. Right now I'm handling the headaches well since they do hit and then go away. The problem is when they hit and I'm out in public or driving...or sitting in church like yesterday. Moaning in the middle of the sermon wouldn't be good; but then again, he did talk about never knowing who God was going to call, including crying babies, so why not moaning horn players. Right now, I'm handling the thought of the scans o.k., but knowing that I hate them I'm sure the anxiousness will get worse. I'm planning to visit a friend for that weekend, so perhaps he can take me instead of my normal routine of driving a rental.

The good thing about all of this, is that my local internist knows what is going on and if anything needs to be done sooner, she can order it and consult with the specialist. She and the specialist are Godsends.

One other thing. Next Thursday, July 20, I'm scheduled to have some semi-major dental work done. It should go fine, but I'll be uncomfortable for a couple of days. I don't mind dentists, but being a musician and counting on my mouth cavity staying the same, it scares me to have anything done. Any problem causes greater problems in playing.

PEACE!
Nancy

Just moan in tune. That will help some I think.

We were sorry to hear of the return of the headaches. We will keep you in our prayers -- both as you deal with the headaches and the drill master.

BTW -- it is nearly the middle of July .... and you haven't been to the resort yet? ?Que pasa?

Hopeful,
I know it's the middle of July, but I honestly haven't had the chance. I've
helped my sister move, taught band camp for a week, spent a week
going to funerals, and mom has this idea that I should do things around
the house this summer.

Oh, and I have become rather addicted to golf since I started my golf
classes the first of June. We have our last class this coming week, but
I've been to a driving range, course or practiced here almost every day.
I wonder how many golf balls (the plastic variety perhaps?) I could loose
if the folks at River Ranch let me bring a couple of clubs and hit balls out in
the meadow? That would be the life wouldn't it? Nude golf -- yeah, that's
it -- we need a nude golf course!

By the way, every golfer should have "moniker." Well, mine has become the
color-coordinated baseball caps and barrel hats that I wear. At least my head
doesn't get sunburned.

PEACE!

There are several naturist resorts that have golf courses. Not large ones, but they do love to play golf!

I'm sure there is at least one in that large piece of real-estate called Texas. Maybe we can check with a few folks we know out there.

I like golf, but I always have trouble getting the ball through the little wind-mill...

Yeah, my biggest problem is the water hazards and trees on THOSE
courses! So far, so good on "large golf," as opposed to the miniature
kind. No lost balls, no beaning of anyone, no broken clubs in disgust.
I'm really enjoying it.
PEACE!

We're all still here and all still with you. I've been praying for mor than ten years to be led to the right people and resources that will lead us to success. I sure don't want your headaches to go on for another ten years, but we'll all pray for relief for you and for you to be led to the right doctors.
