If anybody wnats to read a poem about how clothes covers up human beauty, go to www.poemhunter.com, then search for Kahlil Gibran, then click on "Clothes". I just read it, and thought you all would love to see it as well. Maybe, Greg.
There are other great poems on poemhunter, by a certain poet, ME! Anyone can have their poetry on that site. I believe that just about anyone can submit poetry by the late greats such as Gibran, or maybe only their publishers can, not sure. I picked up a book by Gibran. He is Lebonese, and came to live the last years of his life here in the states. Maybe, Greg.
Ah, yes, Kahlil Gibran's beautiful essay on clothing from his book The Prophet. That book contains several other nudity-friendly references. "He threshes you to make you naked...The wind and the sun will tear no holes in your skin...For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?" Quite a difference from modern fundamentalist Islam, isn't it?
