I am an outdoor person..being a house painter I get to spend most warm days in the fresh air and sunshine. I was able to spend a recent Saturday at Lake Edun near Topeka, Ks. It was in the 90's & the wind was blowing..excellent day!! I still get scared when going there but after spending time there I don't want to leave..I think I am getting more to the point of never wanting to wear clothes but the cooler weather is at hand and I am sad (do you feel sorry for me?)HA!..hoping for many more Indian Summer days
We had at least 2 good Indian summers the month of October when we first moved here to Va. Unfortunately, the last 2 weren't that great. Hoping for another October Indian summer this year. You usually get them if we get a mild frost about now. Hasn't happened yet, but it got down to around 43 one night.
Was there a good M/F mix in the crowd at the place in Kansas?
I greatly prefer the summer over the winter, but both are busy seasons for me at work.
I burn up in the summer and freeze in the winter, but at least in the summer I can enjoy going to WTP from time to time, and going anywhere else with the family, etc. In the winter I just come home and get in the hot tub and try to warm up. Nobody has joined us, yet, and when they do I doubt it'll be naked, but any progress is better than none at all.
I am far from ready for summer to end, but have no control over that so I will rejoice in what I have.
I have never been to Lake Eden, but was curious about the comment about still being afraid to go there.
