Earning the right to be heard

I agree with those who do not think that Christians should "convert" people to naturism. You don't convert people to a healthy diet, but you do recommend it to them when it is appropriate to bring up the subject.

I am firmly convinced that a Christian who has a sexual view of nudity, or is prudish or ashamed of his body is bearing a burden that will hinder his service to the Lord.

Provided that you are a member of a church that will not immediately crush you for teaching it, I think that those who have a proper understanding of the human body, should share this teaching early on with those under their watch care. You may not want to delve into naturism specifically right away, but I pity those who try to live without the underlying principles and urge you to teach them where you can.

As for claims that the gospel must always be presented to the lost before naturism is discussed, I disagree.

In the Bible, Jesus and the apostles found things in common with the people they met, then proceeded to share their faith.

I heard a farmer talk about the life lessons he learned from farming. Another farmer or a gardener can relate to those stories and it is a great lead-in to sharing the gospel.

Naturism is the same way. It may help you earn the right to be heard.

I have already told my weekend host(ess) that I sleep in buff..
for the longest I was concerned about natural appearance in going to bathroom... now the answer is very simple

go buff down hall... they do not mind... why should I..
same way about sleeping with clothes to buff-ers.. do what comes natural..

If anything is said, just pass it off by sayiong ..now you see what I look like..

Naturism as a tool

I agree with what you are saying, but you wrote:

I didn't mean that the gospel be preached before naturism but that we use naturism as a tool for preaching the gospel, not as the gospel itself.

Amen! We are on the same page!

Paul was a tentmaker and he found that the tentmaker's guild was a handy foot in the door for him. I am not a tentmaker. I use what I know instead.

"Go and make tentmakers of all men..." Not in my Bible!

It is hard to limit a list to those who are naturists....sorta lke trying to find those who like hot dogs and hamburgers over falafels...
hard to do...

gays (todays definition ) are certainly creatures of God and I treat them as anyone else...I just do not share thir inclinations...

re " naturism can be a tool...."

The biblical mandate to go out into the 4 corners and teach...gives us an inspiration to get involved in the Lord's work..but each prospective convert is different..no two are the same...

I can compare this like a cafeteria of many foods, and each of us eats at a different rhythm and selection of foods in each meal -- yet identical time to each other...same way for how we use tools..

I had a good friend who used an accordian to lead people to the gospel in their missionary days...
