I started naturAList training on Wednesday. Figure I'm just an "AL" away from being one; so, it should be easy. Maintaining it isn't. They require the same 8 hours of advanced training as master gardeners but require 40 hours vs. 20 hours/year as a master gardener.
Ivy Creek Natural area is very near me here and where the training is mostly being done. Can probably help to maintain the trails and stuff there for my volunteer hours.
Found out there used to be a little village called Hydraulic Mill on the site. That's where we got our Hydraulic Road, I guess, that loops around the NW part of town.
I'm tied up for 4 mornings of the week now. Like doing inside work in the am because it's often too cold or too wet to get out naked then anyway. Bowled the highest game between the 2 teams, ours and competition, yesterday, a 172. Everyone was having trouble with the lane conditions. Beat the guy whose team beat us 2 out of 3 on Tuesday. I didn't bowl so good then. Oh, I'm doing it left handed, cept for those stinky 7 pins: use my right for those.
They took the church van for a memorial service for our retired Colonel Wednesday. It was filthy. Gonna warm up tomorrow; so, I'll go get it, bring it home and wash it. That's one of the things I do.
