We watched a Powerpoint presentation covering the medical mission trip to Guatemala by a couple of our church members, a nurse and a doctor. At one point, the nurse showed a picture of a Mayan house. The preacher prompted her to comment on the shower and water supply. The nurse pointed out the elevated tank that was the water supply and mentioned that they showered right underneath it, with no surrounding walls or curtains. They'd wave to those passing by as they showered naked.
We need more of this kind of thing to show church members that our way of thought on naked bodies is stilted. Like to think that my sessions with the preacher led him to have her bring this up.
