There was a FULL PAGE ad of a naked lady in the Washington Post on Sunday. It was advertising something about St. Ives(?). The lady was sitting on the floor with absolutely nothing on.
Something like the Dove ads; I guess, but no video.
...the aforementioned Dove ads. Those are so "tasteful" that I can't see how anybody would be offended, yet too many people are--maybe because the women aren't young and nubile... rolls eyes
Young, old, nubile, wrinkled, whatever...some people are offended by something, somewhere all the time and those in charge will concede to the lowest common denominator and cater to everyone instead of standing their ground and telling people, "No, I find this within the bounds of good taste and not offensive. You need to take your complains elsewhere." Have you ever noticed that pornographers don't have that problem? Their attitude is, "Bite me!" The people complaining will never buy their product and legitimate businesses need to realize that they can't please everyone. 80% of their problems and complaints come from 20% of the people. I think there's a good chance that people who complain about every little, petty thing wouldn't buy the product anyway. They just feel a need to gripe and control other people's lives.
I have sometimes joined in on a boycot of something I wouldn't have bought anyway just because they were against Christianity or social nudity. I have no doubt that many people just love to boycot or complain just simply because they can.
