I hope everyone enjoyed Easter yesterday. May everyone find the reality of Christ in them and working through them.

I found out something interesting yesterday. Did you know that the word for "remember" in the book of John is the same word for "tomb"?

Associate "Tomb" to "Memorial" to "Remember" Make sense? The tomb version is static, where the remember version is dynamic. One is a memorial (tomb) where the other is a living reality. By remembering, (Peter remembered during the denial when the cock crowed) and Jesus saying "do this in rememberance of me", all relates to the words and ideas coming to them in reality, to the present, not just a "nice memory" or memorial of days gone by. Hitting home you might say.

We remember by living it, not just saying, "oh yeah, I remember something like that, how nice".

These two concepts are closely associated even in English. How many cemeteries are called "Memorial Parks"?

A group of us got together and moved Andy's stuff from his apartment (actually like a dorm: 4 places with a shared kitchen and living room area). He's back in rehab, at least it isn't jail like last 2 times. He can't seem to handle freedom. Last time, he went downhill after getting his wheels back.

Anyway, we moved his stuff in 3 pickups. Brought all but one monster chest over to our place and have the stuff stored in the attic of our carriage house. The big chest wouldn't have fitted up over the banister and up the stairs to the attic. The preacher's wife took it to their place.

We'll see when he gets out of rehab now.

He was rolling marry jane, too, in addition to drinking. Guess he has some addictive chemistry. Been drinking since he was about 9. We found him in jail here. He converted, came home, assaulted a police dog while drunk, back in jail, out to rehab, to apartment and now back to rehab.

He needs your prayers.
