Aw shucks...I swung by about 10. I wonder if the problems are related to the ads? When I went to the forum I was swamped with popups and a request to install Google Toolbar (supposedly) which I already have. I have popup blockers and I still got them.

Sorry about that. We'll get them off asap. BTW, toolbars from Yahoo and Google are not the best thing to have. They have "backdoors" in them that usually cause trouble down the road.

Anytime I clean up someones PC, I use SpyBot Search and Destroy and one of the things it looks for are these "toolbars". I remove any of the toolbars that they have and clean up their system. They don't know how it got on there in the first place and they never use it. "The kids were playing on it" they say.

Why do you want a toolbar so you can look for your files? You can do that with the original browser tools in the first place. Everything these toolbars have, you have already. Shortcuts are shortcuts, you can make them anywhere in Windows.

When you install software, especially "free" or "shareware", you may get these toolbars or other unrelated "tools" as well. So I always use the Custom setup instead of the default. I deselect these extras.

Yeah, you're probably right but I sure like the convenience of having my hundreds of bookmarks automaticly synchronized across multiple PC's and some toolbars are definitely worse than others.

BTW..in hindsight I'm thinking that I may have inadvertantly clicked a link to trigger all the popups. Unfortunately the Google "related" ads suffer from the common misconception that nudity = sex and some of the links are not healthy for humans or computers.
