Urgent Prayers needed -- Job Related!

I just got a call today for a small project, doesn't pay much for what I do, but lately, a lot better than what I have been getting.

Anyway, while the contract company I work through was talking to me, they threw out another job paying a lot better, but I will have to move if I want it.

It's in Boykins, VA (About 30 miles straight south of White Tail Resort). I have not been granted the interview yet, but I am asking for prayers that God guides it if it is the right thing for us.

Here's hoping and praying

You'll be only 30 miles from WTP? That sounds pretty good but only if it'll give enough money to enjoy going there.

Yes I am praying for you. Let the Lord Jesus Christ be your guide through the work of the Holy Spirit.

A few questions come to mind about Boykins. How long would be contract last and what oportunities would there be there when the contract expired. Just a couple of thoughts. I love VA so that might be a plus if everything else is desireable.

Virginia Opportunity worth careful consideration

Boyd,

Proximity to White Tail Resort is a big bonus. You need to find out if there is enough spiritual leadership emanating from the WTR congregation to make up for leaving what you have in your home town.

You should share this opportunity with Allen Parker, as he is in the best position to advise you on the pros and cons.

I would move aggressively to learn all I could about this job, the community, cost of living in nearby towns. It is bound to be cheaper than Atlanta with a lot cleaner air.

Be sure your wife is involved in much of the fact-finding. She is not only your wife, but a wise and godly woman.

You've got my prayers, buddy!

On it now

Thanks. We have already started the research and found out that the town has practically nothing in it! Population of less than 800, nearest school is in the next "nothing" town.

But thirty five miles south of WTR is a bonus!

I also have a nephew in the Navy at Norfolk, so I'm sure he and his wife and son would be glad to have family nearby.

Three to Six

Thanks,

The project is to run from 3 to 6 months, depending on when they decide (if at all) to hire me.

I understand that this is a temp to perm position, so they are very interested in hiring someone full time. So it may be as early as 3 months.

I feel like a stranger

August 11 2007, 9:24 AM

Boyd, I have been gone so long from the site I don't even remember my login. I began a new business about four years ago for my son that has had a degree of success and is growing at a steady pace. That was about the time I dropped off of the radar here. The pressure of a start-up and then the hurricane season we had here in central Florida and a personal health crisis took their toll. It would take forever to read all that has transpired in your life and that of the family on this site but I have remembered you to our Father whom we both serve. What a blessing the other day to have read the account of your visit to Cherokee Lodge in the Nashville paper. I believe the writer to be more challenged by her veiw of God than that of nudism. I hope that she has been invited to read and even participate in "our" website. The more you hangout with folks the more you become like them, and who better to be like than Gods people. I have lost track of where you are now but a move to Virginia is a good one from almost anywhere except maybe back down here. From the photo in the paper I see that the "baby" is growing up, that Gwin is as pretty as ever and you are wearing out your hair. You all look great. I am so proud of what you and Kevin are both doing to spread the word for God first, and nudism also. As an aside the last time I was at Cherokee Lodge about five years ago we had tornadoes every night and my LAST night there we had two at once that straddled us. One went right down 40 and one about two miles north of us that ran side by side. I left and went to Canada. I am a bit confused about the format of the site and may turn up in the wrong spot but someone usually turns up to tell me where to go. Your long, but not at all lost, brother, Bearone

Thats OK, I feel strange all the time

Hi Bearone!
Good to have you back again! Glad to hear that your sons business is doing great.

As for the "login", you don't need one here, but you do need one if you plan to log into network54. Even I don't always log in (as I didn't here).

I had no idea that Cherokee came that close to being history! It is open roads that tornadoes like as well as fields. That is why trailer parks are always a target, they are usually in open fields or have open fields around them. Now the new housing developments they are making in these big fields are open for the same treatment if not careful.

Just keep checking in once in a while and of course, thanks for the prayers and support.

Boyd
