I wonder where my priorities are.

I drive in the nude sometimes, when I can get by with it. And I also find myself covering up when a trucker drives by, or other high vehicle, that is, when I think he can see me. Of course, most of them are men, but sometimes are women. I don.t see many women driving. But that is not the reason I cover up, but that they got CB's and may cause a little trouble.

On my way home last night, I noticed a truck suddenly slowing down. The only reason they slow down is if they are about three inches from the car ahead of them and have no choice, or are about to make a lane change and have to get off at the next exit.

Neither of those were available. So I slowed down as well. And he got slower. So I slipped in behind him, and he changed lanes to the right. There is an exit up there. But he did not get off.

So I decided to go back to my original lane and go to the inside (fast) lane and speed up. He changed back to his original lane and sped up. I went faster, he went faster.

Now we were not the only vehicles on the road, yet he managed to stay pace with me. I moved on quickly and managed to lose him, but it took some work!

Now....why do I drive nude? To be seen? No. To dare myself? To "streak" but not streaking?

I enjoy driving nude pretty much like I enjoy going nude in other parts of my life. But if I am going to be nude, then be nude. So why was I concerned about the trucker? Was he going to call the law? Was he going to laugh and point? Stare? Get into a wreck? Try to find out if I'm available?

Did it matter if he drove along beside me while he got his kicks? Why did I run and hide? Maybe he was trying to say "Alright Dude! Go for it!!"

Why was I nude in the first place if I think its good to be nude, yet run and hide.

Does our "prayer" we adopted on this board mean anything to me? Was he the one who should have benefited? Was he a nudist too?

I talked to Daniel the other night and he drives a truck too, but not around here. He said a lot of truckers are nudists, or at least, drive nude.

So should I have just relaxed and enjoyed driving?

Where are my priorities?

It is good to ask oneself, "What do I hope to accomplish by driving nude"?

In my case, I am nude on the open road for my own benefit.
It is consistent with my belief that nudity is good for my body; it honors God's original design; it expands the time I can be nude; I love being in my natural state with wide open horizons; and I love the sensation of breeze and sun, the lack of garments pinching here and there.

I do not want all others to see my nudity. On the highway, some people would benefit, but some would not and some may even wish to do me harm.

Clothed or nude, I would have felt very uncomfortable with the way that truck driver treated you. I would also have taken steps to avoid him, but hopefully avoid evasive driving in such a way that I endangered my life.

In the daytime, I used a road map and/or light blanket for a quick cover-up. At night I could be nude until I got into stop and go traffic in town or when I needed to buy gasoline. I would usually pull off the road a half mile or so before I stopped for gasoline and slip on some shorts. Gas stations have cameras monitoring the pumps and I would never pump gas nude these days.

There may be some countries and even some parts of the USA where I would make no effort to avoid being seen nude while driving. In such areas, the more nudity people see, the more they become habituated to it and the more good it does. I do not live in such an area.

I used to drive nude a lot even in the city. However, I received two complaints here at the resort that it could cause problems for the resort if I was caught driving nude. I could just see the headlines: "Resident of Nudist Resort (they would use the word colony) caught driving naked." Then it would mention the name of the resort and my name, and my church would deny knowing me and tell me not to come back. So I quit doing it.

On a long trip, though, I will drive nude. I drove nude for 1,200 miles from Michigan to Florida, and it made the long trip more tolerable. I HATE driving and only do it out of necessity, and being nude made it more tolerable. It was certainly a lot more comfortable.

I worked the grave yard shift and would drive to work nude and get dressed in the car before going in to work. After work I would undress in the car and drive home. I would drive Nude to Walmart and get dressed in the car to go in and shop. Then I would undress in the car and drive home.

I think the practice fits your slogan: "May the Lord protect our nudity from the sight of those who will not benefit, and may he allow us to be seen by those who will." This is our general practice as nudist Christians who do it out in "public". We want to show that nudity is something very natural when done in places and at times where it seems to fit. To me, driving naked in really hot weather is another very practical thing to do.

I've only driven naked when coming home from shopping, bowling or (just recently) trimming trails at Ivy Creek natural area. I always have a fanny pack that I leave on. It covers what the law says ought to be covered, in most cases.

My shoes are off so that I can fairly easily slip my shorts back on. Of course, if I'm in an accident and can't do this, I don't know. God will look out for us.
