Yahoo has decided that a good friend of mine's yahoo account and 360 needed deleted. His crime? The best I can tell, he is a naturist and promotes naturism on his profile and 360. I'm am quite sick of Yahoo deleting good naturist friends. That was the final straw and I am making the transition away from Yahoo.
Yahoo has put more than one family naturist group in the Adult Only section.
They don't get it.
This is the same Yahoo that collaborated with the Chinese Communist government to help them catch people who disagreed with that government.
I left them because there were many times that I could not get to their mail server and it was hurting my business.
I think it would be more effective to tell Yahoo why you are leaving, otherwise with a company that big, you'd be less than a blip on their radar. And please tell them as you are leaving that naturism and nudism are not about sex and that naturism is not adults only, but for the entire family.
So who would you recommend for email, although I hate to have to change my email address. However, if Yahoo is that anti-nudist, I have no need of them.
I like Lycos, Gmail and Hotmail for email. They are all free.
Gmail is possibly my favorite, but Hotmail is a lot better than it used to be and one of my friends thinks it is the best.
With my limited computer knowledge, I'm not even sure I would know how to switch anything. With their attitude about nudity, I would be willing to use something other than Yahoo if I knew who to use and how to do it, which I don't. Of course, that would mean having a new email address and having to notify everyone about it.
I would find the new location first, then build the main design. After that I would copy over the data.
This would be done long before I would need to remove my old site or email. By the time I have to remove the old one, the new one should be well established. Email then would already be used. So it's not like I would switch over night.
