Easter at Glen Eden

Well, we don't yet have a Christian Nudist Convocation group out here in California, but we did have a fine clothing optional Easter service at the beautiful outdoor chapel at Glen Eden in Corona, CA. The service started at 9:00am with sunny weather allowing those who choose (myself among them), to be comfortably nude. My wife Kathy and I, along with the help of another Glen Eden member Robert, lead the worship music. Pastor Jeff Bowman delivered the message again this year, underscoring the promise of salvation through the risen Jesus, and encouraging everyone to put their Christianity into practice. We had about thirty Glen Eden members in attendance.

I spoke to a number of folks who said they would love to see the chapel put to use more than once a year on Easter. If we get enough interested West Coast folks, maybe the CNC will make that happen.

Blessings in Christ, and Happy Easter!

One of my regrets of working in a church is that I can't attend that service. When we go out on Wednesdays, we always go up to the chapel and have our own little service for 10 minutes and I would love to be able to have a service with others. What's funny is that I probably know you, but since I don't know enough names, I can't picture you. You'll have to send me a clothed photo of you and your wife sometime so I'll know who to say hello to during a random meet one day.

I'm very happy to hear that Gregg! I knew that Jeff was going to lead that one again. .

I talked to him on the phone a few weeks back when our CNC discussion "threatened" to invade Glen Eden! He said it took a while for the members there to trust him and accept him as a spiritual leader there. After much discussion, we decided to wait until 2009 for an "official" CNC meeting, but that does not stop CNC members to meet there and use the chapel on an unofficial way, like Terry uses it.

As you know, we now have a new website and over time, we will have it full of good stuff!

So keep the prayers for our success, or better yet, Gods' success through CNC!

Yes, I know you're a member there Terry, and I've had people (Rod) tell me we should meet, but it just hasn't happend yet. Eventually we will end up at the same place at the same time, I'm sure. You will find a picture of me on my Yahoo! profile if that helps any.

Heading There Soon, I Hope.

Wow, Rod remembers who I am? I know he knows us by sight, but I didn't think he knew my name...LOL! Took a peek at your profile pic and I do recognize you. Do you play regularly at events and for holidays? Seems like I see you up on the covered stage above the pool. Even though we can't make it there weekends cause of work, we still manage to attend on the three summer Monday holidays to socialize and listen to the musicians.

Guess I'll be keeping an eye out for you this summer. I try to take three camping trip of 9 or ten days every year and I get to see lots of folks on weekdays AND the weekends.

Try not to rub it in too much!

Gold Seal, huh? Isn't it great to be able to drive right in the front gate and not have to stop so you can get nude even quicker? The problem wiht the Chapel is kind of the same problem many churches have and that's aging members. Many of the members can't make the climb up the steep steps and if there's any sort of service they have to be golf carted around the outside gate which is level with the Chapel. There are many services throughout the year for various functions, but many of them take place in a park area where no one has to climb. Not quite the same though. A service kind of loses its effect when its just in a park. But, you take what you can get.

Speaking of aging members, the Florida churches have mostly people of retirement age, and at 62 (next Tuesday) I'm usually one of the youngest in church. I thought at one church that they should have changed their name from Beacon Baptist to Geriatric Baptist.

I would love to life in a resort that has worship services on a regular basis so that I wouldn't have to put on clothes to go outside the resort. I'm afraid they wouldn't appreciate me showing up at my church on Sunday morning (or any other time) nude.

Resort Church

*I would love to live in a resort that has worship services on a regular basis so that I wouldn't have to put on clothes to go outside the resort.*

So what's stopping you from getting one started in the resort that your currently living in? Just start out as a small home church in your trailer if need be, and see where it grows from there.
