Well that reminded me, I guess I need to check out my 360 and see what everyone is up too. I hadn't been there myself in a few weeks.

Actually, I thought I did, but maybe not. I did get my job and off the Contract business. Same company. I moved back to North Carolina. Even though the company is in Virginia, the house we moved to put us three miles closer to my job! It also put us several miles closer to our churches second congregation where we help out once a month.

The paycheck looks a lot healthier than it was!

The CNC group is still registered in Virginia since a nice little post office is practically right across the road from where I work. If we have trouble there, we can easily change to NC and update AANR.

So anyway, we got settled in and still settling in.

CBG will be visiting us Memorial weekend, and maybe "BigGrizzleyBare" (happy2beadam) and family also that weekend. When they do, we will take some time with our pastor about some things that will help CNC a lot.

Thats the update. I'll try to be more chatty about things next time!

More information on our new home

May 16 2008, 6:46 AM

As for my new neighborhood, the jury is still out for nude friendly. I guess on the surface, one would assume not, so anyone who lives in a neighborhood would automatically assume you must wear clothing at all times. But how would they know without trying?

So I am using my backyard. Even though I do have back yard neighbors on the adjacent street, we have a "privacy" fence of sorts. One of those alternating slats, one on each side, that will allow you to see through at an angle. So technically, I can go nude and do some, but cautiously. They have a second floor which sees right into my yard. Seems their curtains are always closed anyway and I'm sure they don't stand around looking into peoples yards all day. They have busy lives too.

I have no neighbors on one side where there is a huge ditch and lots of trees and bushes covering it. A community park area on the other side of that where we can hear kids playing, but don't see them nor do they see us.

On the other side, there is a house, but with bushes and a low fence. You can see into our backyard, but the fellow who lives there is working over seas for a year. Across the road, a older man lives there, and has not really talked to us much. He gets out about twice a week to mow his huge yard. Good exercise.

I doubt front yard nudity is safe, even at night. Big street light lights up our house.

Far cry from our other place in VA. Oh well. We'll stay here for a year, then find out what happens after a while.

However, Wednesday, I was wearing a pair of shorts that has started to stretch out on me! I was digging a garden in the back near the privacy fence and the shorts kept slipping and I had to keep pulling them up. "Forget it" I said to myself. I dropped them and continued nude. Since I was wearing only sandals, it was an easy change from clothed to total nudity. I stayed that way for a while before coming in for supper. I put away my tools, picked up my shorts and carried them by hand into the house.

Grass is terrible here. I have to wear sandals most of the time. Got little sticker thorns in it. Not sure what kind of grass it is, but the first time I ran into this type of grass was at White Tail Resort in an area they had a problem with. I hope they got it cleared up by now. I want to go out and reseed the yard and put weed killer out there. Hopefully it will resolve the problem. It's not sand spurs (star thorns) like you find at the beach. These are tiny individual thorns in the grass, hard to see them until you step and get one or three stuck in your foot!

Very nice house, but like I said, jury is still out on the nude friendly status.

Fix the fence

May 19 2008, 6:14 AM

Boyd,

If the spaceing between the slats is the same or smaller than the slats themselves, remove the slats from the inside and nail them over the spaces on the outside, thus makeing a solid fence. Always leave the rougher side on your side, the rails, with the smooth side out for your neighbor. If that still leaves small cracks between the slats narrow strips can be used to cover them from the inside or possibly a line of caulk. Sounds like a place with great potential.

Re: Fix the fence

Good idea, but I think the fence actually belongs to the neighbors, not the house I'm at. The best I can do for now is watch for activity in the neighbors yard, and grow corn.

I planted corn and tomatoes in the garden that was there when we arrived. I planted it in the nude, and even went out early Sunday morning to water it, also in the nude.

So there is potential, just more closely guarded than most places I've lived in.

Besides, in the long run, I would rather they know I'm a nudist with their OK than play hide-n-seek the whole time I'm there. But then by them knowing, it may prove that my naturist days are over. So which way do we go?

We may put up privacy fences in areas that do not have fences so we can have a little more freedom. It will also give the dog more room to run.
