Nude Cool Off

We got our little girl a Slip-n-Slide water slide. We were naked in the backyard sliding away

Our little girl was still rather cautious and took her a while to get comfortable with it, still never did any serious sliding. Even though it had a warning that grownups should not use it, we used anyway, just very careful with it.

For a hot day, it was nice to get our there naked and play under the water! After I put it away, I still had some grass and dirt on my body, so I rinsed under the water hose.

I have been enjoying my backyard naked for the last month and a half and have had no problems...so far. Even my wife went out and enjoyed the slip-n-slide in the nude! At first, our little girl wore her shorts and her "water" shoes. We convinced her it would be easier without them. So she took off her wet shorts, then it was after she realized that the shoes were holding her back too, she took them off.

It was fun!

Our garden (which I work on in the nude) is doing better now that we are getting some decent rain! I just hope that the rains will help reduce the fire we have at the Dismal Swamp here in NC.

Re: Nude Cool Off

There must have been some sort of weather reversal around the U.S. earlier this year because we were getting very odd cold temps and unseasonable rain this past Spring with Memorial weekend being just crazy. Wifey says let's camp out for the holiday weekend instead of just going out to Glen Eden on Memorial Monday. Went out Wednesday, I had to come home Thusrady night to work on Friday and weekend and either of us bare-ly got undressed except for Monday. Heavy rain, small hail, winds and even a couple of tornados a few miles away which is almost unheard of out here.

However, the skies have all cleared now. We get some June gloom...which is cloudy mornings with lots of AM dew...but its sunshine and off to camp nude for 9 days at the club. If I see the club manager I'll have to suggest a slip and slide for the kids. I wonder if they make one tough enough for adults? I'll be able to bring the MacBook so I can stay in touch with their WiFi when I'm not in the pool listening to the gossip about management or complaints about the way things are run. LOL...nudist clubs are just like churches. The only thing different is the style of dresss...or lack of it.

How to make your own "Slip-N-Slide"

June 17 2008, 8:20 PM

Just get a large piece of 6 mil construction plastic, white or black will do. 6 Mil is usually the heaviest they use for construction. Black is tougher in the sun, but may heat up quicker.

Keep a water hose handy, wet it down (maybe use a garden sprayer attachment) and get some bubble bath liquid and pour some (not much needed) on the plastic and wet it down.

Use your bodies to mix the water and soap well!

You will have more fun than you can think of!

Add one more ingredient

July 5 2008, 5:51 PM

Boyd,

One last ingredient for the nude slide of course is a private back yard!

It is great that you finally have a back yard that is secluded enough that you don't have to wear anything for gardening or the water slide. It seems like such a modest wish, just to be nude in one's own back yard, but it's easier said than done for most folks.

I am still saving up for my first fence panel. Meanwhile I have rigged some landscape fabric fencing. I double layered it and stapled it to some tomato stakes. It gives me just enough privacy to recline on a cot in my back yard near the garden. The wind usually knocks it down after a day or two, but it holds up well enough the day I drive the stakes in so that a blow down does not occur and thereby causing my neighbors to experience shock and awe. Of course it would be their own fault for reacting that way, but I am trying to stay out of trouble around here.

But I digress. I am happy for you and your family!

Slip-n-slides are lots of fun. And naked is better. Even our kids and their friends (who aren't nudist) agree. When they tried it nude, they found out they went much faster.

As for the fires, we have smoky skies every day blow up to us from the fires. Sometimes it is real bad, bad enough that you can barely breath.

Storm

July 6 2008, 5:55 AM

We got a very heavy storm last night. I hope it help lower the fire some. Those deep in ground fires are hard to put out without a tropical storm to douse them.

Part of the natural cycle

July 6 2008, 11:37 AM

I know you folks could breathe a lot easier without the smoke, but fires are a natural part of the coastal plain. In swampy areas, lakes gradually fill with vegetation. In dry spells that vegetation gets burned and even the peat burns. It makes an awful smoky fire, but the result is that the lakes and ponds get a good cleaning and can refill even deeper when the rains return.

On the Georgia coast, our freezes are too rare and light to kill the ticks and chiggers. We need a good brush fire once every year or two to thin their numbers out. If the brush fires occur regularly enough, they will stay down on the forest floor where they belong and not get up into the crown of trees. (that kills the tree)

A crown fire is the disastrous result of human intervention in the natural cycles of burning and renewal that occur on the coastal plains.

If global warming is at work, then the already dry coastal plain woodlands may be making a transition to prairie. Let's hope that is not the case.
