What I'm expecting from CNC.

I am really excited about the up coming CNC event! These are some of the things that I hope to enjoy when we get there.
First, the resort is perfect! I have never been to a resort that has so much to offer. I believe my family will really enjoy playing in the mountain air. Next, I really look forward to seeing all my friends. Talking online with you guys is nice, but being face to face is much better. Another area I look forward to, is the opportunity to minister to a new batch of people. I promise to bring a fresh word from God that lines up with scripture. I also hope to bless in the alter, giving folks one on one ministry as the Holy Spirit leads us. Over the last 3 years I have grown much in naturism and ministry. So, I think this could be the best CNC ever! What do you hope to experience at CNC? I would love to hear your comments.

Pretty much the same as you aside from the preaching part. I'll leave that to the experts! wink.gif

I was about to answer this when you first posted it, and I had to ask myself, what do I expect? So I waited a while before answering.

As someone who has been given the torch, I spend all my time carrying the torch when sometimes I need to just enjoy the light of the torch.

So I hope to see myself enjoying being a part of it, not exhausting myself trying to make it happen.

It is God's work after all, we are just participating in His work and enjoying His light.

Boyd

John, you have remarkable abilities to serve and mentor. If God does not lead you to preach, it will only be because he has so much else for you that there simply won't be time.

BGB, your simple willingness to submit to the authority of scripture and the unction of the Holy Spirit gives me great hope for world-changing results. One's first impression might be that it will only ring in the ears of those who hear your words on that weekend in some remote mountain valley, but if this thing is of God, and from your own testimony it can be from no one else, then what is whispered in the quiet mountain air will be echoed in the words of every heart you touch, carried to every home and hamlet to which they return and spread in turn to other hearts and minds, those friends and loved ones whose lives have been working toward that divine appointment.
Be faithful in the sowing, let others be faithful in the propagation and trust God to prepare hearts far and wide.

Boyd, over the past few months I have disagreed with you on some matters, but this thing is bigger than both of us and I see God's hand in it in a way that I did not before.

I cannot go to West Virginia this year, but I urge those who can attend this one or the event in Texas to prayerfully consider attending.
CNC is not perfect, it never was, but that will not prevent folks from hearing from God nor from being able to serve their fellow man as a result of these gatherings.

Thanks!

Ramblin' man
Thank you for those words. They come at a time when I need to hear something positive. God has told me that it is time to leave my clothed church behind. I will soon begin a new chapter in my life, and I am scared to death. My head knows what is going on, but this is tearing my emotions apart. Please pray for us. There are so many things to consider that it seems like blind faith, but it is not. I have been told in so many ways and all things give the same message. Take care my brother. Big Grizzly Bare

Amen to what Bornnude has said!

"Give us Lord, our daily bread". It is a phrase from a well-known prayer and too easy to skim over in haste. It is powerful knowledge! Jesus himself is telling us to ask for life's necessities and trust God for them day-by-day.

But beyond your material needs and that of your entire family, I know that it would break your heart to walk away from ministering in sermon and take a regular job that will make it challenging to stay in the word and prayer to the extent that you currently can.

Please trust that God will continue to provide meaning and purpose beyond the congregational pulpit. There are as many pulpits in your home county alone as there are dandelions in my front lawn (that's a lot!).

Whether the Lord will keep you employed in full-time ministry or whether you must take secular work and shift your ministry to off-hours, you can and will remain in the clear light of God's presence and in the very center of his will if you are obedient in this new leading.

God bless you!

Once again I am in awe of the power of God's Holy Spirit to bring unity. It's fun to read about how God brought unity to His purposes in the New Testament despite the recorded sparks amongst the leadership but it's downright exciting to see it happen before your very eyes. Do not grow weary in doing good for in due to you will reap the harvest!

Bigger than all of us

May 19 2009, 7:15 PM

Rablinman, I also know it is bigger than all of us, and I too have gone through struggles to understand these things.

I'm sorry you won't be able to attend but your prayers for Gods' success in this venture is much appreciated!

Boyd
