The Garden...lost and found

When man was first created, he had these privilages and jobs:

Walked and talked with God,
He was able to live nude,
work in peace with animals,
keep a wonderful garden,
not having to worry about weeds and thorns,
not having to work by the sweat of his brow,
have all the fruit (food) to eat he wanted.

Today, we are saying as Christian Naturists that we now have the privilages of the first Adam:

Walk and talk with God,
Live nude

but that seems to be where it stops!
We still have to work by the sweat of our brow,
We still have to worry about thorns and weeds,
we still starve if we don't get out there and plant and weed and work!

Not that this is a curse really, we do need to work and sweating does clean out the poisons in our bodies. Excersize does wonders to our physical bodies and minds.

And of course, watch out for the wild animals!

My question then, is nudity a privilage we have gained back with walking with God, while not the other privilages? Or is nudity something that we never really lost in the first place, but we just assumed we lost it?

The reason I am asking this is that in a future debate with someone who is anti-nudist, they may ask "why do we think we are back in the Garden (so to speak) and can go nude, when in fact, we do NOT have these other privilages back! THEREFORE: We are NOT free to be nude!" (Their argument and logic).

Something to think about and discuss.

Re: The Garden, lost and found

Hi all:

GOD said of HIS naked and unashamed creation, "very good"; that hasn't changed. There is a new Covenant with us that doesn't prohibit nudity; in fact there are New Testament scriptures that go along with (in a way, endorse) our nude way of life. This makes nudity a blessed way of life, and not a privilege.

It was the serpent (Satan) who begiled us into believing naked is nasty by tempting Eve with the forbidden fruit and then Eve tempting Adam. It was the KNOWLEGE of evil that gained access to the human race by this act, and Satan knew of it. This is important to understand: Satan perverted nudity; thus the "naked is nasty" thinking serves only Satan. Simple as that, period!

The anti-nudists are the ones who should answer questions about why and what THEY are so uptight about. We aren't uptight about their wearing clothes.

The "privileges" path is confusing the issue. Rights come from God, privileges come from man. Why go there? You'll be suckered into Satans lair. The questions to ask are:

1) What do you see that is nasty, indecent or lewd about nudity?
2) What is so nasty, indecent, or lewd about (your answer to #1)?
3) Why do you feel nudity is nasty, indecent or lewd?

There is NO conclusive answer (except, "I don't know") because GOD said, In The Beginning about us, "very good". Who wants to argue with GOD? ..well, Satan and his chronies do.

The same questions pertain to asking why anti-nudists are "offended" about nudity. When they realize they TRULY don't know WHY they are offended; then Why would they hang on to that thinking? It could be that they're serving their master Satan in his best interests. (my opinion) Just because they masquerade as a "Christian" doesn't mean they are one. If they are a Christian; then WHY do they blatantly contradict GOD?!! ..know the fruit by its tree.

I realize I'm a hard-liner on this issue, but I have never lost a discussion on the subject with my (or God's) line of thinking.

Sincerely:
Steven Hatfield

And add to your answers with a question:

March 2 2001, 3:08 PM

"Since God created us in His Image and likeness, then just what part of God do you find offensive?"

A question I haven't had a chance to use yet, but I'm sure they would have to stop and think on that one!

Now to answer the question I posed for your thoughts,

God told Adam and Eve that they were to work by the sweat of their brow,
That Eve was to give birth in pain,

BUT God never said that He agreed with mans assesment that a nude body was wrong. He never said that we MUST wear the clothes he put on us. He never said that being nude was a sin. Therefore being nude was never an issue to begin with!
