Response to Without those wretched overhead powerlines...

If I was a leader in the community in Manitou (and don't worry, I'm not moving back and running for office), burying those powerlines would be one of my top priorities. Overhead powerlines are eyesores, and they obstruct the views of the mountains. Burying them would be such a boast to real estate prices, quality of life and all that, and only create more positive momentum for the great changes happening in town.

Now I do realize it costs money to do this and it'll be hard work just to make that happen in the downtown business district area, but geez, we need some vision here. Bury those damn powerlines ... EVERYWHERE ... I say!

Find a way to fund it. Give financial incentives. Beg the tycoons to donate who love Manitou. Ask El Pomar. Do something!

Anyway, that's my two cents.
