Hi Jack,
I came across a discussion on this Former Special Operator who has written a book and is running for US Senate.
Frank Anternori

The Book is called "Roughneck Nine One" about this SF Sergeant and his time in Special Forces, part of it is about him being with the Kurds and being on the scene when they dropped the 500 pound bomb on the Kurdish convoy and I remembered you had been in the same AO.

Here is some other info and a a Bio with picture:
(in the picture he is also wearing British Jump wings)

I hope it is something you may find to be of interest.

I hope you are doing well and have adjusted to being home.

All the Best

No shit Jim, running for Senate!?

I've had convos with this guy on Military.com, he is a stand up guy, very opinionated.

There was a story about some guy who was cowardly and got out of the service and some opinion of his was put in print. Antonori went fucking unglued about the fuckers "combat" statements and claims because he was there.

I'd vote for him, maybe, I'd like to see all his opinions.

Hi Jim,

Yes I remember the incident well. Neither the face nor name rings any bells, but that's hardly surprising as I only had dealings with a couple of the US SF lads (and even that was brief exchanges). I'll keep an eye out for the book though, it should make for an interesting read. Incidentally, I do have a number of close friends in Scranton, Pa (this lad's birthplace). It's a small town and I wonder if someone might know of him.

It seems the Kurds have pretty much got what they wanted up North, but unfortunately seem (according to friends)to be dealing in a sureptitious form of 'ethnic cleansing' by trying to drive Arab and Turkomans out of Kirkuk. Kirkuk is on the border of the Kurdish statelet and is in disputed ownership. Due to its oil revenue, the city is considered vital by the Kurds, to making any future Kurdish nation a viable one.
Regards all

Jack

Jim,

I don't know him but I do know Jon Hunter and he must have been in on the shoot in AZ. I'll have to talk to him.
