Rattie Christmas Treat

by

Here's the recipe for the decadent stocking (yes, they all have stockings!) treats I make my boys for Christmas every year. I have yet to find a rat that doesn't love it!

You need-
whole in the shell walnuts
cream cheese or plain yogurt
peanut butter
cheddar cheese

Carefully crack the walnuts so that both halves are intact. Get all the walnut out, and set it aside. Also, clean all the rest of the shells out so they clean and hollow.

Now, make the filling!
Chop up the walnut into small pieces.
Chop up tiny pieces of the cheese as well.
Then in a small bowl, mix both in with about a tablespoon of peanut butter, and a couple tablespoons of yogurt or cream cheese. The yogurt/cream cheese in the mix is to cut the stickiness of the peanut butter and prevent choking.....it makes it smooth and creamy.

Then, you just take your mixture, and fill those shells back up. After you've filled them, tie them shut with a little piece of ribbon or rope and wha-lah!

You have a very cute little treat that your ratties are certain to love
