I'm new to rats! I used to be a "YIKES - RAT!" PERSON. But now I'm converted. I bought a baby female fawn hooded out of curiousity and now I'm hooked.
Today I went to looked at the rats and fell in love with a jumbo, rex, silver hood, male who was in an aquarium for snake food. He was given up by a breeder who didn't want him anymore because (at his current age of one year old) had a stroke and now has head tilt. I went home and all I thought about was this poor guy squeeling in the snakes jaws. SO I RUSHED BACK TO GET HIM!!
My oh my, this guy is the sweetest, most gentile creature I have ever known ( I have 2 dogs, a parrot, - had hampsters, guiny pigs, rabbits). But this guy is different. He lets me hold him and lays by my side or on my stomach and just looks at me with his sweet teddy bear face. I'M SO GLAD I SAVED HIS LIFE from a NASTY HORRID SNAKE.
