my female rat is now about 1yr 10 mnths and she has suddenly started having fits. well i think they are fits, she will be asleep when suddenly she will jump through the air and land on her side or her back and just lie there, almost as though someone has picked her up and thrown her. when she tries to walk afterwards she has sort of mini fits but then after that shes ok. her balance isnt perfect either and instead of holding things in her paws to eat she puts them on the floor and tries to pick them up but cant seem to be able to co-ordinate her paws to do it. could she have had a stroke or something? im gonna ring the vets tomorrow couse there not open today but i dont know when she'll get in. they are getting more frequent and she is having maybe a couple every hour but then she will go through patches where she doesnt have one for about 2-3 hours. any ideas? shes still eating and drinking and she still knows who i am but she seems confused. help someone please
