hi there all! i've just discovered this page and am happy to join the fun. I have 7 boy rats: Poppy, Davey Jones, Zorba the Greek, Legolas, Galadriel, Scruffy and Dexter. I also have two girl cats, Sunshine and Klee. We all get along very well and live with my boyfriend and his fish. I am nutters over my rats, they mean everything to me, and so a lot of drama ensues when there seems to be any problems.
The rats have the run of the appartment for about 4-6 hours a day. They are very messy and chewy, but they are so affectionate and hysterical (we don't have cable so the pets are our entertainment.. i don't really miss tv).
We all live in Victoria bc. are there any other canadian rat lovers here? also, i have thought often about starting a small shelter for unwanted rats; any advice on how to do this?
