I have had a rat for six weeks, and decided to purchase another rat. I bought the new rat 2 days ago and she was very quiet at the store, however, she has now been making some noise. It doesn't sound to be wheezing as she doesn't do it all the time and she doesn't do as she is normally breathing, but she does occasionally sneeze and seems to make the sound when she is sniffing. In the past two days she has become quite active and is eating really well. I'm wondering if I should be worried if it is a respiratory illness or if just happens to be a sound that she makes. The other rat only grinds her teeth.
