bath

I don't think you need to give rats baths unless they get into something stinky or if they are sick and made a mess of themselves. Rats clean themselves like cats do. With your rat being so hyper, it probably wouldn't be a good idea, as she may hate you forever for putting her in such a scary place. she's already scared of you.
Do you have a little house in the cage for her to sleep and feel safe in? A plastic or ceramic kleenex cover makes a really nice home for them. They are made to fit square kleenex boxes. Lay it on its side, with the big opening as the door way. When your rat is in there, coax her out with a favorite treat. Don't stick your hands in there to grab her, that will not make her feel safe. maybe she will start coming out by herself, knowing she has a safe place to run to. Like I said, she may never be a calm rat. Maybe you would consider getting another one, and just let her be the companion to the new one, while you play with the new calm one. By the way, How do ginuea pigs and rats relate to each other? do they sleep together? Play with each other? If you get another one, make sure you put your hand in the cage and pick the one that comes to you first. as long as it is the same sex as the one you already have. don't pick it out by color. If they won't let you, tell the pet clerk to do that, while you watch. Oh yeah, I looked at all your e-mails here and they all say P.M.( A,M. would be the middle of the night.) So, it looks like your writing in the evening.,
