Why do you want to give your rat a bath? Rats stay pretty clean usually, grooming themselves. A couple of times I did have to bathe my rat, as he was infested with lice when I got him. I got a special shampoo and powder from the vet. But it was a stressful thing for him. He let me bathe him, but after each time he got sick for a day or so. I would suggest only bathing him if it's absolutely necessary.
