I found out about Degus fomr this academy YAG to to rehearse our plays. They have about 20 of them in a biiiiiiiiiig cage. They look like gerbils but are longer and a little smaller than rats, and they are brown with black stripes on the sides. Their tails come off if they are in danger, its really gross. They are meaner and shyer too. They live in dirt. Not a good pet. I think they should be kept wild.
