There isn't a behavioural difference between different colors of rats. It just sounds like your little boy, Harry, isn't properly socialized to humans yet, and needs some reassuring about his new environment.
I can give you a couple of tips on ways you can start to bond with him and make him feel safe and secure. It's important to let a timid rat make progress as slowly as he needs.
It's a good idea to pick a safe, small area, such as a bathroom, or on your bed....somewhere he cannot escape from, or where he could harm himself in any way. Bathrooms are generally pretty safe, just make certain there are no cabinets or holes in the walls he could run into. Your bed is nice and soft, and has covers he can hide under if he feels the need. Also, turning down bright lights can help.
Place him, cage and all, in the chosen place, and settle in with a good book and get ready to be patient
Open his cage door, and just let him decide when he wants to come out. Rats are very curious, and he's bound to sooner or later....of course bribing with food always helps too! In time he'll become curious about you, and you can let him carefully inspect you, climb on you, and become more and more brave.
Let him go at his own pace, and he'll learn to trust you, and even come when you click your teeth for a treat.
I hope this helps,
