Off Topic....sort of, the rats have a new addition :)

Well, this should explain my absence: we've brought
home a puppy to share the house with the rats.
The rats of course are not greatly pleased by this, as you can imagine! They haven't met yet, but this has been a long time in the planning, so by the time our pup was old enough to bring home, I already had the rats accustomed to her scent by rudely rubbing my stinky dog hands all over them repeatedly.
She's still too nippy to truly meet them, but they have all sniffed and touched noses through the cage walls. Of course in my fantasy land, she'll grow up and give them piggy back rides
