Dying

I am so sorry to hear of your rattie. It sounds as if maybe something he/she ate or ingested is or did make her sick. The bleeding from the eyes suggests to me that something really devestating is wrong with your little one. For only being 2 years of age, that is uncommon to happen, from what I have been reading. My Blue Rat is not quite a year old, and I do know they can get tumors, some benign, some malignant. If it is malignant, it is probably best to consider putting the poor thing down. Most definitely take he/she to a vet to make sure. From my readings and findings, rats live between 4-6 years, depending on if they are posed with tumors etc. I am so sorry, I hope you have had some sort of solution by now, and that your rattie has survived. Let me know? I can be a shoulder to lean on if you need......

They are the most wonderful little creatures I have ever owned. Having 2 hamsters, a parakeet and now my rattie. Let me know how things are going.
